Hi there! This week’s 10 Things list is dedicated to all things that inspire me to dress up… from light-hearted to fancy! Enjoy! 1. These beautiful photos from Talc Boutique inspire me. I’m loving the bold colors and painted eyes.
2. Oh Kirsten… that messy hair kills me! How about messy hair with a pretty dress? Into it? Me too!
3. Lauren Moffatt has produced another incredible collection. I’m dying over the dress in the bottom left corner. Which one is your favorite?
4. I’m loving these paper dresses made from vintage maps from Annex. Absolutely gorgeous and so original!
5. I think i need these shoes from UO. What would you wear them with? I’m thinking lace dress or jeans…
6. I love this painting by Michael Carson… definitely makes me wanna dress up!
7. I LOVE this hand painted top by Rachel Rose on Etsy. Handmade is still my favorite! This is so beautiful.
8. These shoes by Julie Pillet are amazing. Check out her site… I love SO MANY pairs of her shoes!
9. This top is my favorite thing at Anthropologie right now. It’s a treasure!
Well, I hope you are having an incredible weekend! I’m planning to hand out with my brother tonight with some pizza and computer time… can’t wait. XOXO elsie

Elsie- I am in love with the Michael Carson painting! I am struggling to find it online- suggestions where I can find it??
Alexa, I saw it on Pinterest, so I’m not sure… maybe e-mail him? XO!
Totally inspired me to dress up! I’ve got some amazing patterns lately and am really inspired by British fashion in general! I always think British shows have such posh looking ladies….I totally want to dress up! Hearts, Janna Lynn
Love the dresses, so pretty.

Too many beautiful things to handle in a day! Thanks for sharing 🙂
LOVE the first Lauren Moffatt dress! Thank you for sharing this post.
I am heading to the theatre soon so seeing these beautiful pictures, especially the Michael Carson painting, has gotten me so excited about getting all dressed up and heading out with my hubby! xo
I love the top from Anthropologie, it reminds me of Mary Katrantzou, one of my favorite designers. 🙂
That first Lauren Moffat dress is surprisingly my favorite! I like the paring of pink and mustard… I’ll have to jot that color combo down for spring.

The map dresses. It’s things like that that make me really assess the line between “need” and “want”
so spunky and spring-ish!
i swear the anthro shirt is based on a photo of the house in my backyard here in NOLA. <3 it!
lovely choices!!!
Wow.. Love Kirsten’s hair in that picture. Looks very good on her!

Those paper dresses are amazing! People never cease to amaze me with their creativity.
I love those paper dresses!
My faves of the dresses by Lauren Moffatt are number two nd three, and my favorite is number five, too (from left to right, top to bottom)!
And I love the Julie Pillet shoes, too! ♥, ♥, ♥!!!
I, too, love the Anthro top. They have a mini collection of the photo prints. There is a skirt that I love, as well.
W. 🙂
My favorite dress by Lauren Moffat is the one in the middle row on the left or the one in the bottom right hand corner! But al those dresses are beautiful and so crisp and clean, I want them all! Awsome post, please check put my blog!
I love the top from Anthropologie — but I’ve just been on their webiste and can’t find it – neither in new collection nor tops! I’m from Australia so I need to purchase online. Any suggestions? (I can be emailed at ainotz@yahoo.com)
Thank you
I ♥ messy hair! It’s so fun and carefree! Not to mention, messy hair can be romantic and feminine or tough and edgy! Rawr!!!
Oh my goodness at those painted eyes! I love those pictures!

I love the dresses from #3! The very bottom right is my favourite – such a gorgeous top part to the dress!
Love that Anthropologie top also. Great selection!
Have a fab weekend.
Wow those paper dresses are so neat! I’d love to have one of my own 🙂

OMG… those Annex map dresses?! Love, love, love! Incredible.

Valentino was one of the very few HC collections I really liked this year.

I have a massive girl crush on Kirsten Dunst at the moment–think it was after watching Elizabethtown on Friday and seeing her in that amazing yellow outfit–she is just too cool!
I love those paper dresses – how amazing! And Valentino is beyond genius:)

I’ve fallen in love with everything in this post! You always have amazing things on your blog and love visiting every time!

Aaah, all this stuff is so great! By the time I got to the Julie Pillet shoes though, that was it. I decided that I need all this stuff.
Oh those dresses are lush… top left is my favourite, but I apparently need the bottom left in my life according to my other half. He also says he would feel better knowing that I had those shoes in my life. So pretty. Shame I’m in the UK.
Great blog post. Loved it all!
Love!
The Talc pictures are just excellent; a little edgy but still age appropriate.
Speaking of appropriate…if you want to get beaded shoes, perhaps consider a company that supports aboriginal artisans. Manitobah is a good one!
I love everything except the children with heavily outlined, adult, and anxiety ridden eyes. Please – just let children be children ( as in the Bella’s Plush Doll Twin post….excellent! ) as opposed to the sweet, but adultified, children featured here in this post. Agreed that children love ( and need ! ) to dress up but not to for, or at the expense of, adult-ish fashion sensibilities. Would you let your own daughter pose for such?
Fantastic collection! I love the Valentino dress too, the lace is divine with very transparent silk
I loved that Anthropologie shirt so much, I just had to have it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
messy hair with a pretty polished dress is my favorite.
i love kirsten dunsts hair in those photos and those map dresses are precious!

Thanks for posting that artist. I looked up his work + love it! I’m always looking for new inspiration ♥
Gorgeous and inspiring!
Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow! Great edition of ’10 things’ Elsie. I’m in love with those leather shoes and the hand-painted top!

Love all of these!!!

Oh my gosh, those dresses made from vintage maps are beautiful! Imagine one of those hanging on your wall.. too pretty.
And I adore that Anthropologie blouse – which reminds me so much of my sister! She lives in a cottage that looks just like that called ‘The Pink Cottage’ 😉
Too many beautiful things! Love those Lauren Moffat dresses, esp the striped one!
xo Jac
I love all six dresses in number 2 but I think the top right is my favourite, closely followed by top left.
http://spero-rose.blogspot.com
(Or even number three…I clearly can’t count/read!)
How can I buy some Julie Pillet shoes?! A quick search makes it seem like I would have to go to France….in a perfect world, right?
I love love love the paper map dresses. Slight obsession with maps over here though.
The painting is beautiful, but it doesn’t make me want to dress up. The woman fiddling with her shoe reminds me how difficult high heels are to wear and how crap I look as I stagger about in them like a drunk at the end of Mardi Gras.
Oh my! Lauren Moffat and her new collection DO have me loosing sleep. My favorite (for now) is the blue one… couldn´t help it and made my own homemade version … and shared a tutorial (ooops…)
