Hi friends. This past week was heavy. It’s not easy when so many scary, awful things are happening in our country. That said, I was encouraged by the number of people coming together, donating and doing their part to spread awareness about how we can all help. The internet is so funny like that—one minute I feel like it’s so negative, but then you see people making big sacrifices to try to help complete strangers and it’s so incredibly beautiful and special. Life’s not perfect, but seeing people do their best to love, help and support each other is so meaningful.
Anyway, here are 10 things I am loving …
1. I recently made a baby registry for my upcoming showers. I wanted to find a way to support small businesses instead of just one chain store. I used babylist—you can register for items from anywhere online. It was super easy to use, so I thought I’d mention it in case any of you are looking for something similar!

3. Did you see that Rachel Denbow launched a new site?
4. We recently met Jessica Garvin and her husband, Brandon, for drinks. Her blog is one of my favorites. If you love a good OG-style blog where it’s sort of random and mostly about someone’s real life, you’ll love it. There’s so much I miss about the early days of blogging.
6. Love this essential oil diffuser (and I’m working on a series of EO posts that will start going up soon … in the next week or so!)
7. How bananas is this mustard fur coat???
8. The prettiest rainbow carving blocks (for making your own DIY stamps)
9. Love this children’s book. My friend gifted it to me when we were early in our adoption process. It’s the sweetest!
10. Is it too early to start my Christmas list? Haha … I’m not joking.
From the bottom of my heart, I love you all. Thank you for reading this blog, supporting our projects and being a huge, wonderful part of our lives. These past few months since we were matched with Nova I’ve received hundreds of the kindest messages of my life. It has been an amazing reminder why I even started blogging in the first place. Sharing our lives with real people who truly love and support us … it just makes me feel so lucky! So please know how incredibly grateful I am for you. xx. Elsie

Las Vegas is my hometown, and it was definitely difficult seeing the aftermath. It is really hopeful to see that there was so much help and support, from people all over the world. I’m definitely glad that there are lots of things to love to be a happy distraction. Looking forward to your EO posts too!
This week has been hard, but it has been wonderful seeing everyone working to make it better.
I love reading ABM cause it’s like keeping up with a friend who’s got great ideas and awesome shoes. Last year was especially fun because I was pregnant along with Laura. This is my favorite blog! You all seem like you’re super sweet! If I lived near you I’d wanna be friends! Thank you for a little bit of fun and sparkle!

I really do enjoy these sunday posts. I do want to add a book recommendation. I’m going to school for education and I’m discovering a lot of wonderful children’s books. Niko Draws a Feeling by Robert Raczka so far is my favorite. It’s about friendship. The main characte,r a little boy, shares his (abstract/scribbles) art work with people and no one seems to understand him. Of course til the end when one little girl just gets him.

Sooo I did a bit of a nosy and had a look at what you guys had on your baby list (we’re planning andsecond kid so thought I might see something useful we hadn’t thought of?), and I noticed that you have the Graco Pack’N’Play on there. We have it, and it’s been great, but just as a word of advice: it’s quite small! We haven’t ended up using it as much as we thought we would, as we bought it when our kiddo was about 9 months, and now, at 17 months it already feels a bit too small. I’m sure we’ll use it plenty with our second kid–the bassinet seems particularly useful for tiny babies–but just thought I’d give you a heads up as it might be too small for Nova when you get her!

I just found your site. Love these design ideas! And that crazy good unusual rug design. And especially, the mention of the flood victims. It pulls at your heart and my donations still leave me wanting to help in person.
We are trying to work with our very unusual cathedral ceiling and the need to update the lighting. It has, nor could it have, the usual beams that follow the ceiling exactly, but we might think of another way. The beams I see in your picture might give me an idea. Could you post a picture of your ceiling: Or perhaps e-mail it?
