We know the first official day of Spring isn’t for another month but we can’t help it-we have Spring Fever! And we are totally crushing on florals this season. Love love these pretty floral purses with leather trim. The far left and right ones are from Aldo, center from Etsy.
Have you ever tried floral flavored treats? That’s one food trend we haven’t explored yet-but these pretty lavender cupcakes and lemonade look divine!
We are both total suckers for vintage embroidered florals! We love them on tapestries, purses, dresses-you name it. Love the above design found here and this purse from Etsy.
Grown up floral patterns on dresses… Yes, please! We don’t know who is responsible for brining these pretty vintage inspired designs back into fashion but boy are we glad they did. We are swooning over this pink one found here and this blue one from Ruche.
And no Spring-dreaming day would be complete without some pretty paper products. We adore this illustrated floral print from Dear Friend and this pretty note pad from Rifle.
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday! xo. elsie and emma

I have a suggestion for you then 😉
Take two sticks of butter, soften lightly. Throw them in a stand mixer and start whipping. Add a 1/4 cup of sugar (or your sugar equiv of choice), and a couple of glugs of rosewater. Whip until super light and spreadable. Check the taste to make sure it is sweet enough for you.
The result will be a lightly sweet spreadable butter with a hint of taste and aroma that will leave your guests puzzled but happy. 🙂
I generally serve mine up in a big plastic tub, but for a dinner party/shower/whatever shovel the butter into rose or heart molds and freeze. Serve as individual rose shaped pats on tiny plates on top of edible rose petals. The butter will still be that light whipped texture when it comes back to room temperature.
(I buy my rosewater at the oriental/middle eastern store locally – big bottle, couple of bucks – do make sure to get the edible stuff)
I’m kind of obsessed with floral flavored things. I’ve had hard candy in all kinds of floral flavors from France, lots of rose-flavored things from the middle east, and lavender berry ice cream from Jeni’s (my favorite, and a local Ohio company!), but the best is a classic crêpe with lemon and lavender sugar. INCREDIBLE!
Can’t wait to see what floral goodies Emma comes up with!
I love floral, I love spring and I love that vintage purse!,

Lavender in scones with jam and cream are delicious and smell great when they are cooking as well!
We had lavender icecream in Japan. It was very tasty. We weren’t so sure about the squid ink flavoured icecream though^^ Best wishes from Berlin, Jenni

Mmmm lavender!! Its really easy to make lavender cupcakes too, u just make a basic cupcake, except finely chop edible lavender through. Then a few drops of purple food colouring in your icing and some edible paper flowers or sprigs of lavender on top. Mmmmmmm might have to make some lol xxx

Things that taste of flowers are the BEST! Rose & Violet creams are my have, also Parma Violet sweets, I have a violet martini once that was amazing, sugared rose petals. Yum!
That lavender lemonade is the most beautiful color.
Oh I love FLoral flavored baked good. You should make White CHocolate & lavender scones. They are the best!

I am obsessed with floral flavoured things! Violet and rose flavoured candies, macarons, cupcakes ugh I love them all! If you want to dip your toe into the floral flavoured world find a store that stocks British candy and ask for parma violets. They are divine on their own and can be incorporated into baking very easily! They are also amazing crushed up on ice cream!
I adore the dresses!!!
Kiss from Venice…you are so creative…i adore your blog!

I’m IN LOVE with the floral backpack! but I looked on the website, and I couldn’t find it?
please help?
Just looking at all these spring treats is making me feel warmer already! Lavender lemonade sounds fabulous, a nice change from the usual. I’ve tried rosemary and thyme lemonade before and that was tasty, but this so pretty that I’m not sure I’d mind too much what it tasted like anyway!

I have that floral Aldo backpack and I absolutely love it!!!
I’m such a girly girl and I love floral everything! So many pretty finds. I really love both the dresses you featured.

There is a vinegar tap room a couple towns away from us, and my sister gifted me a bottle of lavender balsamic vinegar for my birthday this month. SO good. I’m totally addicted!
I need some of that purple lemonade! I can’t wait to start drinking flavored water again in the summer. xo, rv

I found some floral carpet the other day, never thought I’d appreciate carpet this much.

I love infusing things with lavender. My stepmom grows lots of lavender on her farm so we make lavender simple syrup and use it in cocktails, on pancakes and lots of other things!

Loved this post as I love using lavender in cooking and baking. I lived in Seattle for a decade and used to take trips over to Sequim (lavender capitol of North America) for their annual lavender festival where they featured coffee, lemonade, cupcakes and pretty much every food you can think of with lavender added to it in some way. Lavender has such a lovely, pleasing flavor to the taste buds.
The gelato shop in Charlottesville, VA, Splendora, has rose petal and lavender gelato flavors and they are so pretty and brightly colored. I tried the lavender one because I could not pass up purple food and it tasted like soap to me. I couldn’t figure out if it *actually* tasted like soap, though, or it was a sensory overload because I associate the smell of lavender with soap. So… I’m wary of floral flavors.
Lavender lemonade is amazing!
Floral flavors are my absolute favorite: jasmine, rose, honeysuckle, lavender…I’m a sucker for all of them.
I think I’ll do a post on lavender lemonade tomorrow — thanks for the inspiration!
I’ve been loving lavender drinks and desserts lately, especially lavender soda floats! They’re delicious.
World Market in our area sells spices pretty cheap. I gifted some dried lavender to my sis and she ended up making a vinegarette that she loved with it.
The Blue floral dress from Ruche is beautiful 🙂 i love love love floral patterns 🙂 i’ve got them running all over my walls now 🙂
This is really a good read for me, Must admit that you are one of the best bloggers I ever saw. Thanks for posting this informative article.
