Mother’s Day is sneaking up on us—are you ready?! If not, you still have time to make your mom something unique and special. Here are 20 handmade ideas you could try. First up, why not make your mom a pretty cake stand?
You could make her a real silver necklace with her children or grandchildren’s fingerprints.
Make these wood burned photo frames and fill them with all the people she loves!
If your mother has a colorful style, you could make her a unique beaded necklace.
Make your mom a few homemade soaps with her favorite scents! See our tutorial for making grapefruit and poppyseed bars.
These jewelry catchalls are easy to make and look so cute on a dresser or bedside table.
If you need some gift wrapping ideas or plan to make your mother a card, consider making your own buffalo plaid stamp (it’s easy!).
If your mom is the kind of gal who is often on her laptop, might I suggest making her a custom lap desk?
You can easily make these homemade bath bombs in any scent your momma loves!
If she’s got a sweet tooth, you could always make her some homemade cookie butter. Yum!
Homemade beeswax candles are always a welcomed gift.
If she’s got some special grandkiddos in her life, she might love to have some of their scribbles turned into modern art.
Use photos from her life or some pictures from her children to create a few photo candles she can cherish for years to come.
Make your mother her own marbled ring dish this week.
Use some fun photos to make her some photo soaps.
You can easily make these rope coasters and add any colors that you know your mom would love.
Did you know that it’s super easy to make your own solid perfume!? You can add it to a locket or a store bought container.
Make your mom a textured photo frame to add some personality to any wall or table top.
Use iron-on veneer tape to create these pretty wooden trivets. Perfect for protecting your counter tops from hot pots and pans.
If your mother has a green thumb, then she might enjoy a few textured planters for her favorite indoor plants.

The leather catch-all for jewelry trinkets is my fave! I’ve been into leather crafts lately and just made a leather gift card holder that I’m posting tomorrow 😉 similar to this one:

Great round up!

I love so many of these idea and would love to get ANY small gift from my husband or three year old that shows they thought of me.
I love the fact that this isn’t a standard “shopping” post with a ton of expensive items. My family doesn’t need to break the bank to show me they care, it is about loving gestures. I hope this post inspires people to take a step back from the commercialization of every holiday and try their hand at doing something simple and personal.

Love them all, need to figure out what to make for my mom.

These are so cute! I always feel like making a big breakfast in bed for her and something home made is just a little extra special than just buying her something (which of course is also nice!). Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I love pretty much everything, but marbled jewelry trays stole my heart. I’ve seen them before and even listed in linkup of best DIY gifts for Christmas, but they’re obviously perfect for every occasion. I adore those DIY soaps and bath bombs, too! I believe that such gifts are much more personal than bought ones. My mum loves to receive presents like that.

I think homemade gifts are the best too… some things I’ve made in the past are… crocheted beanies, scarves, coffee mixes, cookies mixes, hot chocolate mixes, fork/spoons wind chime, cookies, caramel corn, cookbook with recipe I like & jar of hm pancake mix, painted gourds 🙂
I’m loving all of these ideas! I knitted an evil eye blanket to my mother’s heart. My mom loved it 🙂 https://www.evileyestore.com/beads-and-decor/evil-eye-home-decor/handmade-evil-eye-sofa-throw-blanket.html
