3 Ingredient Rosemary and Lavender Sugar Scrub

Sugar scrubs are my all time favorite DIY gift for a couple reasons. First, they take literally two minutes to make, even in big batches. Second, you can dress them up in cute jars with labels and ribbons to personalize them for the recipient and make a simple, affordable gift feel personal and unique.

If you’ve never used a sugar scrub before, do yourself a favor and make an extra jar to keep! They’re amazing exfoliants and leave your skin smooth, glowing and super soft. They smell pretty darn good, too. I used lavender and rosemary essential oils in this scrub for an herbal, floral scent that is so relaxing.

Supplies:
-granulated sugar
unrefined coconut oil
lavender and rosemary essential oil
-airtight glass jars (I love these tulip-shaped jars)
tags, twine or other labeling supplies

Measure out 2 cups of sugar, a 1/2 cup of softened coconut oil and 5-7 drops of each essential oil. I softened the coconut oil for about 40 seconds in the microwave, just until it was soft enough to stir. This amount filled three 7 oz. jars.

Stir until well mixed and fluffy. Smell the scrub and add another drop or two of essential oil if the scent isn’t strong enough.

Spoon into clean, dry jars and seal. Decorate with the tags and a snip of fresh lavender and rosemary so the recipient knows what the scrub smells like!

You can write some directions on the back of the tag if you’re giving these as gifts. Just let the recipient know to use a spoon to scoop scrub out of the jar and keep water out of the scrub! These would make adorable stocking stuffers, and I could see giving a set of a few different scents as a larger gift to someone who could use a little pampering. A peppermint one would be perfect for the holidays! xo Kayleigh
