If you're anything like us, you have a pile of gifts building up that need to be wrapped! Today, Emma and I are sharing four super simple gift wrap ideas that we did with supplies we already had laying around. Enjoy…
For this first look (pictured above) you'll need some craft wrapping paper, tape, sissors and vintage trims. We have a huge collection of kitschy trims from the 1970s that we've picked up a garage sales. Simply wrap the trims around the package and tape them on the bottom!
For this next idea, wrap your gift in atlas paper. We thrifted some big atlas books this year and have been using them for all sorts of fun projects. Add a piece of yarn, a silver pipe cleaner heart and a white feather to top it off!
I love japanese washi tape! This next idea couldn't be easier. Just layer the washi tape in a plaid inspired pattern and tape a spotted feather on to finish the look!
I love a little sparkle during the Holidays! This last gift wrap idea features a big glittery bow. To make this bow… 1. Fold a pipe cleaner in half. 2. Pull each end in toward the center and twist to secure in a figure 8 type pattern. 3. Repeat 6-8 times. 4. Twist pieces together to form a full and pretty bow! XO. elsie + emma too

Been making some coin purses for a friend, to give away as presents, and my only stumble was how to add a good finishing touch by wrapping them in an original way! I love the idea with the trims, but the washi tape takes me to another level!!! I’ll do that, thanks!

Japanese make the best masking tape. So many kinds to choose from! I like the layering look, it looks like plaid. This year I’m wrapping our presents in Sunday paper comics and vintage scarves.
Love love love the atlas wrapping! If it was a gift for me, I probably wouldn’t open it. The wrapping is a gift in itself! 🙂 (makes for rather inexpensive pressies, come to think of it.) 🙂

I love the idea of using a map for wrapping paper! If only my husband would part with ANY map we have. I usually use old newspaper we have lying around and just recycle it afterward.
I love all of these ideas! My favorite one is the washi tape with the feather. Washi tape is everywhere now but I am still absolutely obsessed with it!
I really love the atlas paper idea. I still have some maps from my honeymoon – I think I’ll use them on my husband’s new pedal board gift for Christmas. So exciting! Thank you very much for sharing this idea, Emma and Elsie.
So inventive. I write a blog about gift wrapping and love to use materials I have around the house, too. I love that you boldly went where no gift has gone before! Great work.
I have been using trims ever since I was a child (for wrapping, for letters, for adding something extra to an old pair of jeans), but the rest of them were completely new to me 🙂 .
if you want your hair to look thicker, you could get a few lrayes. or you could get a bob that is shoulder length. (trust me the modern bobs are cute, if my hair was long enough, i’d get one lol) with a bob, bangs that barely cover your eyes are a good way to draw attention to them without the hair cut looking to matronly. since you have pale skin, i suggest either a caramel or honey colored highlights and or a reddish color, this will warm your complexion. if you get them be sure it’s the thin ones, not the chunks.
well ive had mine for a few months now and ive used the Compound W and band-aids lol .and my figners and a nail filer lol so what i did was follow the instructions on the box, dry them, use the nail filer to rough it up that means to expose the wart, then you want to put the product onto (all) the wart(s) and then put a band-aid over it yes it burns your skin; all of the products do haha now wait for a few hours, (6 or more) then repeat! i hope this helps XD
My grandmother, who thgaut me how to sew when I was three, absolutely adored purple! She wore some shade of it every day of her life while she was able. She was a rebel in many ways, and my love of purple came by her. My favorite color is red but what would red be without purple by its side? : )

Giving advice is what I do for a living, so you can rest assured that this will be $2.50 well spent. I cannot find anything that is even half as wonderful.My other advise for this Holiday Season is that we all learn to simplify things a bit. Take a moment to assess your place in this time, and your time in this place. In all of the chaos around you, find and cherish the ones that love you most. Feed on it and use it to feed others. We need each other now more than ever. This World can be a scary place, so be sure to embrace! Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping and Happy Co-opping to all!Kevination
Glad you have this contest. I’ve been meinnag to send this suggestion but haven’t gotten around to it until this incentive came along. You are doing a good job at the Coop of sourcing many items locally, or as locally as possible. I would like to see the coop source even more items from local growers and producers, and less items from out of state or out of the country. Obviously there are many items that can only come from far away. But I’m sure there are still more items that could be obtained closer to LA. Thanks, and keep up the good work. I love using maps for so many things. Often they’re just available for free at rest stops along interstates. I always grab a few.
