Today we welcome Kelli Murray to the A Beautiful Mess family! She will be sharing styling articles with you this coming season! In her first post, she shares five fun ways to style a white v-neck tee! Enjoy…
Look 1: For this casual day look, I paired my white v-neck with a neon knit tank, lace trimmed denim shorts and a strappy sandal. I'd wear this almost anywhere….thrifting, to the beach, out running errands, you name it. A fun styling tip, which I incorporated here, is to tie a coordinating scarf around your purse for an added pop of color! A pair of sunnies and a hat go a long way too in finishing off a look.
Look 2: Probably my favorite way to style any outfit is with just a touch of boho. I suppose this look has a lot of boho going on, but no complaining here! I layered my v-neck with a simple cotton maxi dress, some vintage boots, a wide brimmed hat and an assortment of gold jewelry. If I had been at Coachella, this is probably what I'd have worn.
Look 3: For a more dressed up, polished look, I paired my white tee with a bold skirt and colorful accessories. I often like to find two colors that work well together and make that the focus of my outfit. Here, the bright orange of my skirt worked well with the turquoise in my clutch and necklace. Not much else was needed but a top knot! This look is perfect for a dinner date with the mister.
Look 4: Here, I layered an oversized floral kimono over my tee and paired it with a colored ankle pant (my go-to of the season!) This look is really versatile because it can easily be dressed down with a sandal or flat, or up with a heel, as I have done. This is something I would wear to an art show or out to lunch with friends.
Look 5: So…confession. I like to match with my baby. A little ridiculous, I know, but I just can't help myself! For this look, we went primary…mixing navy polka dots with bright yellow tights and coral pom headbands. My v-neck quickly became just an understated layer, but what doesn't get understated when yellow tights come into play, right? Bright tights usually call for some sort of celebration in my book, so that's just what we did in these outfits. Birthday party at the park!
We just love this styling inspiration! It's pretty amazing how many different styles you can put together with just one simple piece like a white v-neck. Which look is your favorite?

This is such a useful post! So many times I look in my wardrobe (particularly in the winter) and feel like everything is just so plain and drab, so these dressing-up ideas are really helpful!
I honestly love every look! I think my favorite one is the dressed up look but I think because I’m a bit to short for the skirt I’m personally most likely to wear the one with the floral kimono! π
