She’s here!! Lola Valentine Gummerman was born at 12:34 on May 7th, her mama’s birthday (crazy, right!?!). What a birthday present! Not only do we have the same birthday, but Valentine is also my middle name (it’s the maiden name of my grandmother), and we share the same initials too. She is 19 inches and 8 pounds of pure sweetness and joy, and we are completely in love with her already. We had a bit of a rough start with some time in the NICU and minor surgery for Mama, but everyone is home and doing well and we are extremely grateful for that. We are pretty tired these days, but our hearts are so full as we get to know this adorable little creature. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for us over the last few weeks and months. It’s time to snuggle in for a bit and enjoy all the precious moments while we can! They don’t stay this little for long! xo. Laura

Congratulations!
For me the first couple of weeks were stressful and hard, but now that she’s three months old (and I’m back to work, and she only wakes up once a night and then goes back to sleep) it’s so much fun!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Hang in there, the first weeks are exhausting but so worth it! Good luck and wish you lots of happiness with your gorgeous Lola!
Yay! Congrats Laura! I love a name with a great story. I’ve often considered changing my own middle name to one of my grandmothers’ names so I could be named after someone! 🙂

Congratulations on the new addition. Our daughters are only 5 days apart, with mine born on the 12th of May. My husband opened up for Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Boondox, one of the major underground hip-hop artists, and as soon as they performed their song My Sweet Elana (the song can be found here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBSaTRbanJ4), I started going into labor. I powered through the motions for a good 3-4 hours at the concert and did not want to leave until the major acts were over.
We welcomed our daughter Lily Noir Elana Northrop around 5.30 the next afternoon.
