Top 5 Hollywood Makeup Tricks

Top 5 hollywood makeup tricksTop 5 hollywood makeup tricks I wanted to share some of my favorite secret weapons I keep in my kit for when I prepare a celebrity for a red carpet event. These are little tricks I do on almost anyone who's going to be photographed, and they really "add the magic" to a look. All of these tricks are finishing touches and can be added at the very end of your routine.

Great beauty productsHere are a few of the products we'll be using.

How to define eyebrowsHow to define eyebrows The perfect eyebrow trickTrick 1: Show off Those Brows

Defining and highlighting brows is a quick way to bump your look up a notch. Nyx makes a really cool pencil that has both products in one! Use the light pink on your brow bone (blend with your finger!), and then sketch in your brow lightly with the other end. Defined brows will instantly make you look more put together and polished.

ConcealerTrick 2: Look Refreshed

I love the tinted eye rollers from Garnier and L'Oréal. They're my absolute favorite drugstore products. They have a very thin formula with just a little light-reflecting tint that works wonders on dark circles. I roll it on right out of the tube and use a fluffy ponytail brush to buff it in. Set it with a tiny bit of translucent powder and you'll look totally rested and refreshed!

Highlighter is the ultimate photo-ready secret. Watt's up by Benefit is a beautiful golden shimmer without being sparkly. I also love The Multiple by NARS. Highlighter is definitely one of those products where you get what you pay for. Drugstore brands tend to be too glittery or frosty, so I always splurge on a top brand for this one. You're going to want to hit the tops of your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and Cupid's bow. Then blend with your fingers. The warmth of your hand will help the product melt into your skin. Instant glow!

This is something I learned from a makeup legend who learned it from Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist! It's an awesome way to add depth to a red lip and makes your lips look fuller and more pouty. You can actually use this trick with almost any lipstick color, but I love the way it looks with red. First, line lips and apply red lipstick. Then, take a shimmery gold eye shadow, and using your finger, lightly press a little into the center of your bottom lip in the middle. Keep it away from the lip line. Last, take a champagne gloss and use it to blend the gold shadow. Keep the glossiness and shimmer in the center of your lips. You can smush them to blend it a little, but you want to make sure that it doesn't get too spread out.

Add a little glitter liner to your bottom lidAdd a little glitter liner to your bottom lid Trick 5: Add the Right Amount of Glitter

A little glitter liner is a super fun way to add some sparkle to your look. To give it a fun grown up twist, I like to put it on the bottom underneath my lashes. It's very subtle but adds a lot of pizazz and is a great way to take your look from day to night in about 10 seconds.
