Party Party App

Party Party App is hereOur newest app, Party Party, is in the iOS App Store!

Party Party is more than your own personal photo booth. It can bring an experience to life with its easy-to-use stop motion feature—layering your photos atop one another to make a looping animation! No matter how you use it, this app is designed to make it simple to capture the fun of any moment.

PhotoSo what exactly does it do?
You pick how many photos you want to take (1, 4, 9, or 16), and the app will take the photos automatically, spacing them 1 second apart by default. But you can go into settings to give yourself more time if you need. Or you can switch it to manual mode and take the pictures at whatever pace you like! We definitely recommend you turn your sound on, so you can hear the countdown. Oh and you HAVE to at least listen to the other sound options. Our niece Penny recorded a countdown, and it’s AMAZING!

Once you’ve taken your photos, you now have all these options to play with:

• Adjust the speed of the animation to your liking

FIVEWill it be released on Android?
So this is tough, because we know so many of our readers have Android phones and would love to support us and try out this app. Like we’ve talked about in the past, developing for Android sadly isn’t as simple as copying and pasting code to the Google Play store. It’s a completely different platform, so you’re pretty much starting from scratch. In other words, it’s a huge investment. And our A Beautiful Mess Android launch wasn’t able to recoup our investment. To put it in perspective, it sold 1/20 the amount iOS did. So right now, Android is too risky for us, but we’re definitely open to it in the future. We’re keeping an eye on Google Play for sure.

PhotoAny questions? We tried to make it as easy to use as possible, but let us know any questions you may have in the comments. And we’ll post a follow-up on the blog with FAQs and tips in a week or so. One quick tip on saving gifs: Your iOS camera roll doesn’t preview the animation of gif files. To see it animate you can do any of the following:
• Email it
• Text it
• Save it to your computer
• Upload it to compatible social media

I can’t tell you how excited we are to see all the creations you come up with! Be sure to tag it #partypartyapp, so we can follow along!

P.S. A big, big thank you to Agatha June for helping us design it and to Wes Billman for being one of the most amazing developers we’ve ever met!

At the moment the app is still populating, which means it may not be searchable in your area yet. To find it now go to the A Beautiful Mess app in the App Store and click “related.” Or you can search “Red Velvet Art LLC,” and it’s the second result.
