Try This: Textured Planter Project

Try This- make a textured planted with a terra cotta pot and paper clay! This morning I stepped outside in a sweater and shorts only to run back inside and change into jeans. It's getting chilly over here! I've got quite a few plants and succulents outside that need a new winter home inside the house. Here's a fun solution for creating cute planters that match the decor inside your home!

Step 1Supplies Needed: Terra cotta pot, paper clay (takes about half a pack per planter), something to stamp the clay with. and acrylic paint.

Step 2Step 1: Smooth the paper clay around the planter from just under the lip to the very bottom of each vessel.

Step 3Step 2: Use a household object to stamp a pattern all over your paper clay. We used a paint pen cap, a pen cap and a flat clay knife to create the cross pattern. Allow the clay to air dry overnight before painting.

Step 4Step 3: Paint your vessel with acrylic paint. Add more coats until it is completely covered. We used three minty paint shades to create this little set.
