Love cranberry? (check!) Love ginger? (double check!) Time for a delicious and refreshing weekend cocktail.Ginger Cranberry Martini, serves one
Cranberry juice
Gin
Lime
Ginger
Sugar
To make the cocktail, in a shaker combine 1 cup cranberry juice, 1.5 ounces gin, the juice of half a lime and 3-5 thin slices of fresh ginger. Add ice. Shake, pour and serve!
I garnished with three rolled up slices of candied ginger on a stick. Here's Emma's recipe for candied ginger:
Easy Candied Ginger, makes about 1 cup
Needed: the reserved ginger slices from making ginger syrup and 1/3 cup sugar.
Rinse off the ginger slices and pat dry. Dip each in the sugar and place on a paper towel. Allow these to dry out for a couple of hours. Use to garnish drinks or other foods. You can just eat these too, but they are quite strong. You have been warned.Happy Sunday, friends! I hope your weekend has been wonderful and relaxing. xo. Elsie
