Now that the weather is at least thinking about cooling down (little by little!), we're all about grilling outside again! I'm so excited to share our outdoor space with you soon. It's quickly become my favorite "room" of the house. I love having our cocktail on the back porch at night, grilling together on lazy Sundays and hosting small parties for friends. But that's all another post for another day I suppose. For now, we're talking peaches!
Last night we grilled some peaches and I saved a few for a morning smoothie.First, you get to grill some peaches! These are delicious with a little vanilla ice cream, but be sure to save a few for your smoothie. You'll need one peach (two halves) for each smoothie. You can stick them in a plastic bag overnight and pop them in the fridge if you grill at night but like smoothies in the morning. ๐
Grilled Peach Smoothie, serves one
One peach, grilled
2 cups greek frozen yogurt
1/3 cup milk or almond milk
2 tablespoon honey
To grill peaches, cut them in half, remove seeds, use sticks if you can (for easy flipping), brush a little canola oil and sprinkle them with brown sugar. Grill them for about 2 minutes on each side.
To make the smoothie- combine all ingredients in a blender and blend! Don't forget you can freeze your grilled peaches to use in the future as well. Enjoy!I hope you enjoy this slightly smokey, sweet and creamy treat! xo. Elsie

We grilled peaches for the first time this summer and had them with homemade ice cream. They are wonderful. Would have never thought to make a smoothie with them though! If we ever have leftovers I’ll give this a try.
Side note: I have a pig cutting board too! My grandfather made it for me. All the ladies in the family have a handmade pig in our kitchen :).
I love grilled peaches, gonna give this one a try for sure, thanks girlies =)

Yum! This looks very good. I have a smoothie every day and I love it. But, because I make it in the morning before work, it has to be fast. I use 1 banana, 1 carrot, 1 orange, 2 handfuls of chopped, frozen celery, 1/2 cup of fat free greek yogurt, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries/raspberries/blackberries, and some water. Sometimes if I have it, I add in ginger and turmeric.

I love grilled peaches! I had never thought about using them in a smoothie. Sounds delicious.
are grilled peaches supposed to be soft? Or do they keep the same consistency as when they’re in their natural state? I thought they would be softer when I grilled them, anywhoo, this looks delicious, I think I might try this soon :).
Yuuummmmmmmm this is a great idea! I wonder if I could sub broiling them to caramelize the sugar since I don’t have a grill (sad sad apartment living).
Wow! This sounds AMAZING! Definitely going to give this a go ๐

made this for me and my roommates this past weekend. Two of us are lactose sensitive so I substituted the frozen yoghurt for goat milk ice cream. It was heavenly, though I might add more peach next time – I like a fruity rather than creamy smoothie.
