One of the best things about this time of year is the increase in sunshine hours. π The days feel like they go on forever. During the winter months the sun will set as early as 5pm, while currently we might still be wearing sunglasses at 8pm. Yay for extra hours of sunshine! I've heard that the sun provides vitamins and, in turn, good vibes. I'm pretty sure that's the scientific term for it, "good vibes." We shot these photos the other day around 6pm before a family dinner, and look as bright and cheery as it still was. (P.S. I think I might be easily impressed by things…)

Looking cute girlies! The extra sunshine hours are my absolute favourite thing about summer. I just love the light! I always find that in the winter when it gets dark before I’ve even finished work it just puts me in the worst mood! The light evenings have the opposite effect π

Here’s a practical question for Elsie: do you stay in the shorts + tights combination all day long? I’ve often thought it’s a cute pairing but couldn’t possibly bear to wear tights in the humidity of a DC summer!

While the black and red outfit is incredibly cute, to me all I could focus on was that hat, I love it. The lavendar trench style dress is my favorite though, its beautiful, I wish it was in my closet. The hue, the size of the buttons, everything about it is just gorgeous and looked really great with those sandals. Thanks for posting them.

Love the outfits! π Where I live it never really gets dark during the summer months (the sun sets right before midnight, and rise around three in the morning), but in the winter it’s dark almost all the time. So I love the sunshine hours during summer too π
