Today we are happy to welcome Jill from Lune Vintage on the blog to share bits of her home!
"This year our little old home turned 99! It's not big, but it's ours. I love how every old home has individual personality. The moment I stepped in the door of this house, I knew this meant to be our home. 11 years later, and after some big renovations, we're still loving her."
"Nearly everything in this house is either from a relative, friend or thrift store, so it's hard to pick a favorite piece. The record console was a gift to myself after my first big festival sale with Eggie (my mobile shop). We use it every single day. The clad wood steamer trunk belonged to my Uncle who passed away this time last year. It was from my favorite room in his house which was full of antiques and a big tiger wood wardrobe. Currently it holds vintage clothing that I sell through my blog & Instagram. The sofa is a perfect fit for our small living room. It cost $20 at a thrift shop and was from an old hotel lobby. I let that baby sit outside on the cold porch for a few months before daring to bring it inside for a deep cleaning. One day I'll have it recovered in leather."
"Our family uses every space in this home to its full potential, but Eve and I spend most of our time here in the kitchen and living room. Her favorite toys, including her kitchen, set are here. We color, listen to records (Baby Beluga is her top pick), make real and pretend meals and build tall block towers. I love the light that streams in through the kitchen window in the morning, while I make a cup of coffee. This happy space always starts our day off right. I always feel very fortunate that we can call this place home."
"My father in law gave me an old wood window from the farmhouse he grew up in. When we were renovating the kitchen and dining areas, I was disappointed to discover we wouldn't be able to get rid of the wall between the two spaces. As a compromise, he suggested we set the window in the wall to let more light through to the dining room from the kitchen window. I think it's such a fun personal touch, and it really does make a difference in connecting the two rooms."
"We've been in this nearly century-old house for 11 years. During that time we've done a lot of renos to the interior and exterior. In this space, we swapped the tiny galley kitchen with the formal dining room, replaced the kitchen completely, made a door a window, and opened a mudroom that was sealed off and stuck behind a fridge. The rooms are modest in this house, but the ceilings are high, and the windows are large. I find it to be very functional for our family of four. Small can be wonderful."
Thank you so much for sharing your space with us, Jill! You can find more of Jill and her beautiful home over at her blog Lune or find her on Instagram under @lunevintage. xo.

i love jill, and i love her home!
Haha, I love how Jill quarantined her thrifted couch! I am always weary of certain used/vintage items, but they have such charm (and usually a good price). I am putting your tip of ‘relegating items to the cold porch’ in my back pocket for future questionable finds : )
Love the decor–neutral but interesting. I’ve wanted a trunk like that for a long time–this just cemented it my head that it’s something I need to have one day. Thanks for sharing!
It’s such a nice place! I love the sofa and the colors.

Love this post. What a beautiful home. And I agree, small can be wonderful:)
her house has such an amazing aesthetic, I love her kitchen & will definitely be checking out her blog!
Wonderful space and well used to create warmth and comfort — and quite clearly maintaining style. Small can indeed be wonderful!
What a modest, yet amazing home! It made me realize that once I purchase a home, it’s not about size! It’s about what you can create.
Jill, thanks for sharing your beautiful home and family. Best part for me was the fact ‘you spoke of the age of your home with love’. Small places bring love closer. Reminds me of our first home of only 1200 square feet with a family of four and two inside dogs. Thanks for the memories, and showing the love for your home.
love that home! xo
Oh My God!
