We're kinda freaking out over here, because it just went to #1 on the iTunes chart… before we even had a chance to blog it! What?? You guys are amazing! Thank you so much for your support and excitement! We're completely blown away.
To download, you'll need iOS 6 or later, and you'll need to be connected to wifi, as this app is pretty packed with features!
Here's a little more detail on what the #ABeautifulMess app can do!
The app comes with fourteen cute photo border options that you can recolor to your liking!
You can add, move, resize, and recolor custom text to your photos in your choice of font!
We created several pre-drawn doodles you can customize, resize and add to your photos!
And the app has a whole bunch of cute and fun phrases written in my handwriting to choose from!
That's not all. There are also filters and backgrounds that you can use to create cute notes and messages!
We've worked really hard to make this app for you, and we hope you love it! Once you've gotten to play with it, be sure to tag your pictures with #ABeautifulMess, so we can browse through all your beautiful creations! So excited to see how you'll use the app.

Sadly, I’m a BlackBerry 10 girl so I can’t get my clammy mits on this slice of gorgeousness and I’m gutted. I’m sure you’re probably aware, but BlackBerry10 can run ported Android apps if the developer wants to port it across to the platform. I believe it’s relatively simple as it’s the same as the Android app, so no new development needed.
Perhaos thus is something you would consider when the time comes to release the Android version? Enhance your market a little further.

I do very much love the new app, I only have one piece of constructive criticism… and that is there is no way to “go back” (Unless I just haven’t figured out how to yet.) For example… if I’m using a phrase and make it orange… and then I put on a border, but realize that my photo would look better with a white phrase, there is no way to fix that without restarting the entire process of finding my photo, editing, etc. I hope that helps whenever it comes to updates or anything 🙂
Other than that one little thing, I LOVE the app and think it is wonderfully designed… much better than most photo-editing apps 🙂

Now that I am using it more, some minor glitches and to find out any answers is very difficult. Wonder if you guys could do a tutorial on the specifics. For example if I pick a border & confirm it, go on to picking a word I cannot go back and edit the border or even delete it. Very frustrating once it’s set and you move on to fonts or doodles w/e it’s set for life. On the other hand, could be I’m missing an edit button! Hopefully will hear from web person, but as I said, it was not a click away/easy. Thanks,

My issue is the same as someone above. My photos only save at 320×320 which is reallllllly small. The app also closes sometimes sporadically.

The app is really cute! But I think you have to pay too much for all the in-app purchases. There are other apps where you have to pay only 99 cents to get a lot more fonts, filters or shapes. I really like you guys (even bought a new iTunes card to be able to buy your app), but it just doesn’t feel right to spend so much for the in-app purchases. I read this in the iTunes reviews as well, so maybe you can do something with this feedback? Congrats with your baby though!:)

Well done ladies, absolutely love the app! Only one small thing I ran into was I wish there was an easier way to size things down. It’s just a personal preference of mine, I like to keep my text or doodles on the teeny side and have found it a little hard to shrink things down as much as they go. Hi ladies, I love your new app, already purchased the add ons too and left fab feedback on itunes. I am sure you are open to feedback of all sorts, so one thing that I would love for you to tweek is when I am resizing font, doodle etc, once I resize it, it locks it to that size not letting me re tweek it. I hope you can put this on the list of the lil bugs to fix.

I love how fun the app is. The hand-drawn doodles and borders are especially cute and not something I think I’ve seen elsewhere.
I will say, though, I was a bit disappointed to see exactly how much of the content had to be purchased after already paying for the app. I would’ve rather paid a larger price up front than be surprised by having to make so many additional purchases. Also, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but whenever I’ve used one of the filters, it noticeably lowers the quality/sharpness of my photo. I’ll probably avoid using them until that’s resolved.

I just purchased your app on the May 15th of this month and I got a new phone yesterday. I purchased all the add ons. When I downloaded all the apps back on my phone and opened a beautiful mess app it tells me i have to purchase all of them again. I ordered every one! Can you help and tell me how I can get them back without purchasing again?
I like this app very much and have recommended it also to my friends.
I live in Finland and what I’m missing is Scandinavian letters Ä and Ö in some fonts, Spring Fever, Happy Dance and Tall-n-Skinny. These are used also in for example Swedish and German so I hope Ä and Ö can be added or more fonts where they are included in. 🙂
Karli Jessen- Yes, you can restore your purchases so you do not need to make them again. Use the “restore” button. If you need step by step instructions please email contact AT rocketmobile DOT co and they can help walk you through it. 🙂

I have found a bug or two…the photo keeps reorienting with every edit I do. Add a phrase and the photo turns to the left. Add a doodle and it rotates again. Really gets things messed up by the time you are done. I did email the developers though. O/w I’m LOVING the app, it’s truly beautiful, just don’t know why it takes off on it’s own every so often!!
