This past week we added hanging planters to our porch. We used white cord, terra cotta planters painted white and Elise's tutorial to make them. It was so easy and fun! We made six planters to hang around one side of our front porch.
Sometimes there are projects I want to make for, like, a year and just never get around to it. This was one of them! It feels good to check it off my mental list. What are some projects you've been wanting to try for a long time? xo. Elsie
ps. Our front porch makeover will be on the blog next week… can't wait to share the whole thing with you!!

I’ve been wanting to try some wallpapering, but it scares me. Some people are scared of spiders, I’m scared of wallpaper.

EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. We’re moving next week and hanging plants out back is near the top of my list. Perfect! 🙂
I live in a very small apartment with no outdoor space, but I thinking hanging something like this in a corner by the window will bring a little of the outside in to me. Lovely.
Lovely…

It looks lovely! Hanging planters is on my list for my balcony, so I might try this. Thanks! I have been searching online for 6 months or more for some ideas for vertical gardening. I have a wall on my blacony that needed to be dealt with lol. Last week I finally!!! did it, with a trellis made out of some “compost net” and old tin cans. Looks better than I thought!
This is lovely! I think I’ll copy it. Pinned!
I have a MILLION things on my mental list at all times. I’ve really been meaning to make an industrial desk/shelf unit with recycled wood and metal plumbing joints, a whole bunch of clothing, a dining room table and a bunch of graphic wall art.
I’ll get there eventually : )
Oh so lovely!

Can’t wait to get decorating our balcony! Thanks for the great DIY!
My mother used to have selfmade hangers like those when I was a child. You can create lots of things with chord. I myself have the idea of making a terrarium in my head for month now.
i plan on making the same thing for my back patio. There fun, easy and add a little something to your outdoor space.

I’ve been in lust with hanging planters for a while and found some beautiful little ones by Angus and Celeste, I posted some pics of them here – http://emeraldandmay.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/angus-celeste-hanging-gardens.html
They’re a Melbourne (Aus) duo who do vases and clocks too, so lovely!
