In the fall and winter I love a warm, cozy cocktail. Spiked apple cider is one of my favorite treats. This recipe is not super boozy, but if you don't drink try omitting the liquor and adding a tablespoon of real maple syrup to your cider. :)
In a teapot, combine: 5 cups apple cider, 2 shots maple flavored whiskey, 2 shots apple liqueur (I love Thatcher's!), 4 cinnamon sticks, 1/2 an apple (sliced), 1/2 cup orange juice. Serves 2.I think I'm gonna make some more right now… xo. Elsie

Love this!
YUM! I love cider, so adding anything remotely Christmassy to it is a win for me! Can’t wait to try this 🙂 xx
This sounds amazing! I don’t think the ginger cider and maple whiskey are available here in Australia but am thinking spiced rum and sparkling cider might work together nicely with the cinnamon and juices 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration to try something new!

Yum! I keep waiting for it to be colder than 90 degrees here in SoCal (sorry, not trying to brag East Coasters), so I can enjoy drinks like these and finally wear a sweater. This looks divine! Would love to have this be part of a wintery date night (to go cups to the park/beach with a blanket perhaps?) AND I bet it makes the house smell heavenly!

YUM. I’m not much of a drinker, but you two ALWAYS make me want to drink after seeing your amazing mixtures. This one is definitely no exception!

I love all of the warm tones of wood in the background. It must be your new dining room table you built!! Beautiful.
I like the look of this recipe! It uses a bunch of things I don’t ordinarily keep in my liquor cabinet, but I’ll have to keep it in mind for those long cold nights when I need a good cozying up 🙂

Yummy!!!!
Put some SoCo in there, then we’re talking.
Wow, this sounds delicious! Some of my favourite ingredients all mixed together, I think I will have to try this out. 🙂
So wait, do you heat up the cider, THEN add the rest, or heat it all up together? Confused. I don’t want to do it wrong. Help.
Can’t wait to try this! I’ve been craving some spiked cider all evening!
Mmmm, that looks wonderful. Hot cider is exactly what I feel like right now.

Oh this looks so great!! I actually just moved away from New England (pout, cry, pout), and one of my moving boxes was for that Cabin Fever. I thought it looked very cool, and now I have an excuse to buy some. Thank you!

This sounds amazing! I’ll definitely have to try it out! 🙂
I really like the idea of apple slices in the cider, i wil have to give that a try. It gives it something extra.
I like this bookshelf so much! Simple, but still great!
Would pressed apple juice work instead of apple cider? The only ciders I’ve ever found (here in Ireland) are alcoholic so it could be a bit much with the whiskey and liqueur! Love you guys btw, I always get so inspired while checking out abm! 🙂
Perfect drink for a football viewing party! Thanks!

I can just imagine how warm and comforting that must feel in my belly. I will definitely have to try it sometime this season.
Wow, I love hot drinks, love cinnamon and love apple! Guess what : I am in adoration with that drink, cant wait to make the recipe!

I have never seen a cocktail like this one!
To bad our weather is the other way around, but I’ll keep it in mind for 6 months down the track 🙂
