@L-L, thanks for looking out! We’re aware when the pumpkin was created, but we didn’t stipulate this had to be a new carving (we might do that next year). You can check Shawn’s site to see that pumpkin carving is kind of his thing. His wife actually turned him onto the contest. We did the most thorough search possible on all the selected winners to ensure intellectual property rights. But we encourage any violations we didn’t catch be brought to our attention.
Gosh, no idea how you chose a winner. So much talent and creativity!
