Oui Fresh Beauty Box — June Unboxing

Hey sun bunnies! It is the *unofficial* start of summer and the June beauty box is packed with some seriously gorgeous items this month—including two of the most in demand items from our readers: sunscreen and mascara! This month is valued at $104 and includes four full-sized items. You’ll also get a perfume oil, a lip gloss, and a turmeric coconut charcoal face mask. In short, this is a can’t miss month. A quick reminder: We’ve started our reverse-scale to maintain the quality of the box, which means we have a fraction of the new subscriber spots than we used to have. If you know you want a spot, click here, because they’re going fast!

In each box, you’ll get an info card that tells you a little about each item and where to find it if you want to repurchase. This month, the artwork on the front is “Living the Dream,” because it’s summer, right? We’re all kind of living the dream. 🙂 Read on to find out more about each product!

Classic Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Sunscreen by Coola — value $32

Coola is our go-to sunscreen brand and we are so happy that they’re in the box this month. Ever since I was a kid, I can remember hating putting on sunscreen because it would sting my sensitive skin (cheeks especially) so much—I’m sure there were a few ingredients in the *theoretically awesome* Barbie “changes colors when you rub it in/wait, is there glitter in this?” sunscreen I used for years that were unbeknownst to my family. This “sunburn sting” has continued into adulthood. Even after trying some other self-proclaimed natural brands, Coola sunscreens are the only brand I’ve used that just feel like a regular lotion and actually work on my extremely fair skin (I burn, like, immediately)—their products feel so good and I’ve never had that burning sensation. This formula is water and sweat resistant (truly a sport sunscreen) and has a really lovely natural scent. Our whole team is beyond excited for you all to try!

The Silk Mascara in Black by Amaterasu — value $32

This mascara is made with traditional Japanese silk fibers and powders to create a formula that you can build up to be as dramatic as you want, which, as a lash person, is what I look for in a mascara. My natural lashes are short and straight and after building up a few layers with The Silk Mascara, I can tell a huge difference. The technology of this formula reminds me of a really popular conventional mascara I used to use, but I like this one much better because it doesn’t bleed onto my under eye area throughout the day. I use this technique to apply this mascara: start at the very base of your lashes near the inner corner, use a wiggle motion to work upwards. After you’ve made your way across your lashes to the outer corner, you’ll be ready to start another layer of mascara. I usually repeat this 2-3 times.

Date Night Crystal Infused Perfume Oil by Lark — value $18

Not only is this roller absolutely gorgeous (you can see in the photo above that it’s infused with rose quartz and rose petals), it doubles as an essential oil roller AND a perfume. As far as scent profile, it leads with rose and also blends the sweetness of geranium and the brightness of citrus. The rose and geranium oils are hand infused by the Lark team, which gives them a sweeter scent than traditional rose and geranium—definitely a perfect scent for summertime. All of these essential oils have properties of being uplifting, so we find ourselves wearing this fragrance not just for date night, but all the time! It’s such a pretty bottle to have on your vanity or nightstand, but is small enough to keep in your bag.

Hydrating Lip Gloss in ‘Pink Ranger’ by Oui Fresh — value $18

We get SO many requests to include our lip glosses in the box, and this month it only seemed right to include a pink “punch” that’s perfect for summer: Pink Ranger! We get asked about the name a lot, and if you guessed the Pink Power Ranger, you’re right! This fuchsia is way more subtle on your lips (like a pretty rosy glow) than in the tube. You’ll fall in love with the velvety texture and the way this lip gloss functions like a lip treatment. It heals and protects your lips as it’s packed with vitamin E, shea butter and coconut oil. This lip gloss is scented with real vanilla, so no artificial fragrances or flavorings of any kind. A lot of people say it reminds them of a vanilla soft serve ice cream, which is kind of the quintessential summer treat. 🙂 Charcoal Turmeric Coconut Face Mask by Fable Soap Co. — value $4

Okay, I’m IN LOVE with this mask. If you haven’t worked with a dry mask before, embrace this opportunity—it will probably become your new favorite way to do your at home facial! Why? You can really make this your own and totally customize it to your needs. This mask includes three amazing ingredients to help detoxify your skin without stripping it of its goodness. Charcoal is a staple for exfoliation and detoxification, and turmeric is amazing for anti-inflammatory benefits and calming your skin of any breakouts. If you have apple cider vinegar (has AHAs, or alpha hydroxy acids, which will boost the exfoliating power of the charcoal), water (natures miracle, ha) or a favorite facial oil (serums and oils will help any mask to absorb more successfully into your skin), you can get reallllly creative here on how you mix this mask before applying it. You can also boost this mixture with a drop or two of lavender (calming) or frankincense oil (my favorite skincare essential oil — it does so many things)! I hope you all have as much fun with this mask as I do — I’ve made it a few different ways now, but it always leaves my skin refreshed and absolutely glowing.

That’s the June box! It’s a really exciting mix of products and there are so many fun things to try out. If you’re ready to be a part of the clean beauty magic—click here! Boxes always go fast.
