I am so freaking excited to share today’s project with you! Not only is it the first wall art I’ve put up in my new home, but I think it’s my favorite wall art project EVER.
Start by watching my videoโ
We teamed up with our longest supporters and friends over at Canon USA for this post. Specifically, we used the Canon PIXMA iP8720 Crafting Printer on their Pro Luster Paper for this one because it handles B&W so well. Plus, it can print up to 13×19, which was necessary for the size of frames I chose.
Watch the video above for all the basics on how I created this project. I found my simple white frames at Michael’s and here’s my campaign hardware. If you don’t want to use any tools, you can super glue these to the edges and just omit the screws. I used the super glue to secure them before adding screws (just makes it a bit easier). Just remember to let it dry 100% before continuing.
I printed a combination of personal photos, one Dolly Parton pic and a couple prints from Arrow & Apple.
The finished wall is light and simple but still detailed and interesting. I love how it really fills up the space without being too busy. Our breakfast nook is starting to take shape!
It feels SO GOOD to start the decorating process. I can’t wait to share more with you! If you have any questions about this project, leave them for me in the comments. And even if you don’t have a question, I’m in the mood to chat, so leave me a comment.
Off to plan more GOLD projects because it’s addictive! xx- Elsie
P.S. You can get $50 off the Canon PIXMA MG7720 Photo Printer by using the code ‘ABM50’, but you gotta hurry because the offer expires on Saturday.

Love this idea!! Really simple but lifts those frames so nicely.

Adding a video to the DIY posts is the BEST idea. This wall ended up looking so nice and pulled together. Good job! Silver was my go-to for such a long time but I’m more than ready to break out the GOLD!
I LOVE THIS!!! And that light fixture is also AMAZING!!! ๐
Yay a video! I’m always happy about those (powerful 80’s beats for the intro สโฟส). And fun idea for the frames, thanks!
Such a simple idea but SO effective!! Your home is looking beautiful Elsie, and great advice from Jeremy’s dad too!
They look amazing! Excellent idea and really simple too!

Do you mind sharing the sources for those dining room chairs?!? Out of this world!
Hiya Els,
I’m really wanting to invest into a Canon Printer because in the projects y’all have used with it, the print quality is stunning! However, y’all have featured a lot of different Canon models — which printer is your absolute favorite/do you recommend/do you use the most? Thanks!! xx

What a fantastic idea! So simple and beautiful. Love it.

I’m so digging how your style has evolved over the years. All the spaces you’ve posted in the past have been super fun but I’m really inspired by how you’re incorporating a bigger dose of elegance into this house. Is this a conscious shift in your aesthetic or just a natural evolution as you get older?
This looks so beautiful!! ๐
How stunning, and what a great way to transform a galley wall! You ladies are genius ๐ I can’t get over how much punch of excitement it brings to the photos- gold, black and white always have that modern and enticing effect!
Thanks for sharing,
XO Kass
Elsie, this wall is stunning! I love it so very much!
Two quick questions…firstly, which Canon printer do you recommend for the specific purpose of printing photos? Secondly, may I ask where you got the Dolly photo? DP is my idol, I adore her so much. I’ve been trying to find a great photo or poster of her to put in my house. Any advice you could give on where to find great Dolly photos is greatly appreciated! ๐
Thanks so much Karen! It’s making me smile every SINGLE day!

Yes! They’re from Lulu & Georgia!

The one linked here is my favorite for photos because it’s wide format and you can print up to 13×19.

Hi Eliza,
I feel like a new home is a clean slate. So yeah, it’s intentional. When we were preparing to move I made new mood boards, new color inspiration and purged the stuff we already owned (sold a lot of things that no longer fit) and now I’m SLOWLY piecing together a new vibe. Having SO much fun.
Thanks for asking.

Hey Lauren,
I am very biased because I pretty much only use this wide format printed linked in this post with 13×19 Luster paper. It’s AMAZING quality, you cannot even tell it’s printed at home.
I found the dolly photo from a google image search and printed it at home! Love her too!!
xoxo- Elsie
Interesting! Dolly and a pineapple, gotta love it ๐
So over the few years you’ve been working with Canon you have had a LOT of different models, I’ve been keeping track ๐ Do you have a new printer every few months because they need to be replaced? Or because Canon is one of your sponsors and they send you their new updated latest and greatest? (Which, for the record, is AWESOME!) I would love to purchase a canon, I know you and the AMB team have nothing but good things to say about them. And I’ve not had great luck with other branded photo printers in the past. But I don’t want a printer that needs to be replaced in 6 months. So, meaty question, if I buy one is it going to last more than 6 months without a sponsored replacement? –Pink
Such a cute and simple idea to jazz up picture frames!
Can you share where those wall planters are from?!
Where did you get your overalls? I’ve been on an unsuccessful hunt for a pair to call my own.
Such a good idea! Makes the frames look high-end! Loving your new space by the way!

LOVE this wall SO much, Elsie!!!!! Major heart eyes!!!!
So fun to get a little sneak peak of your new space at the end of the video!!

Your frames look fantastic! Genius. And please tell me the gorgeous light fixture is a DIY that I missed?…
Hey! I totally get what you are saying because I too had expensive printers in the past that didn’t last (not Canon, another brand). With such a major investment you want to make sure it will last!
The fact that we have new printers often has everything to do with what the company is marketing at the time and zero to do with them not lasting. So don’t worry about that. We keep all the older models for personal use of give them to friends and they’re still going strong.
For assurance, I just would check the warranty info when you buy. ๐ Also, Canon has amazing customer service.
Hope that helps!

Hi Michelle,
My fixture is made by an amazing Etsy shop, Lucent Lightshop. Their stuff is unbelievable!

I love it, I have been thinking about adding campaign hardware to a couple frames and seeing this wall really makes me want to take the plunge. Thanks for the inspiration. The room looks beautiful and I love the light fixture.
Where did you get your table? I love it x one million.
I love the frames. Does anyone know where I can find the wooden dining chairs? I love them. Thanks.
Amazon. It’s a reproduction. :))
xx! Elsie
Thanks! They’re from Lulu & Georgia!

This is really random, but I like the rotary dimmer light switch in some of the photos. It reminds me of the house I grew up in, which was a 1940s house with a few 60s updates like this switch. So glad you kept it!
Your breakfast nook looks so pretty and I love those planters!
This wall looks fabulous! The pop of gold on the frames is so cool. I love how the breakfast nook is turning out too.
Love this wall! Can you share which frames you used?? Thanks for putting this together!
I think this project is so simple and so amazing, I definitely want to try it!

Not really a “nook”, is it?! It’s a room!!
Yes please keep the gold projects coming!!!!By the way, will we still see the video of amsterdam and Iceland?
You’re killing me with that cute breakfast nook! I also love the addition of Dolly, she’s my favorite celebrity.
I agree with Eliza! I love that you’re not afraid to let your style evolve and grow. I know you talked about this some on the blog, but I would love to read a blog post about adapting your home to your evolving style. I’ve lived in my home for 4 1/2 years and it’s difficult to know where to start and what to change when something (stylewise) feels like it isn’t working or isn’t making you happy anymore. It’s also difficult when your sweet husband doesn’t like change. Hehe. Any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
xoxo

These are awesome! Such a great way to add some interest!
I love how this turned out almost as much as I love those dining chairs! Be still my heart while I hunt them down at Lulu and Georgia.
Thank you for always being so inspiring.
Thank you!
The gold hardware adds such a great touch to these simple frames! So pretty!

Your house is already looking amazing! Got me all inspired now…. Clare x
Two things! I am in looooove with that picture of Dolly Parton! I once was in a band called Giddy Up Dolly and I think the most beautiful day of my life was when I went to one of her shows, 8h from home. That’s how much I love her.
Second, your videos suddenly went to professionnal level! I really appreciate them, I’d love to see more video in your post!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi guys , please can you tell me the sizes of the frames used for this wall. All the way from Manchester UK
So fun and clever!!

This is something that we will do for sure. So simple but yet so wow. However, i havent seen this in gold, only in silver. So we will try to add some gold leaf on them before screw it into place

I love the little addition of the gold hardware. It makes such a big impact!
Hi! This looks AMAZING! I especially love the frames! Do you mind sharing which brand and size frames you used? xoxo
I’m seriously in so much awe of how amazing something so simple contributes to a gallery wall. Goin on the Pinterest board! (:
Where are those planters from?! LOVE THEM!
Hi!! I have been looking for the perfect wall decor for my dining nook! And I love this! May I ask what size frames did you use to create this look??
Hi Jasmine! Elsie used different sizes, but the campaign hardware will fit on any size frame.
Hi there!
Do you know what are the dimensions of the frames Elsie used? I’m struggling to figure out what sizes to buy!
I think they are 8×10, but the campaign hardware should fit on any size frame ๐
Really interesting! I should try it at my house!
And where can I find those great dining room chairs? Looks great with all of the white accents!
