We used to love making things out of magazine pages when we were in middle school and high school. I guess it was partly because magazines were the supply we always had access to! But to us, there's something so perfectly 90s about a good magazine page craft. Here's an easy way to make a durable clutch from your favorite magazine's pages.1. Supplies: magazines, laminating sheets, embroidery thread, scissors. 2. Begin by ripping out your favorite magazine pages for your clutch. 3. After you've picked your favorite, assort them in a collage and apply the laminating pages directly on top. We went really slow with this step, making sure the laminating sheets lined up perfectly. Once you've the covered the entire area, cut it into a perfect square. 4. Then, begin forming the clutch by folding three corners to the middle and securing them in place with another laminating sheet. 5. Next, cut the corners of the sides, making the top corner able to fold down farther. 6. Lastly, attach a hook and button so you can close it shut! Happy crafting! xo. elsie and emma

This is a great idea! My friend and I make envelopes out of magazines all the time; it is really fun (and cheap – we are definitely poor college students). Where do you get the laminating sheets?

Finally! Something USEFUL I can do with my magazine cut-outs! This is a great gift idea… I only have one question: what kind of laminating sheets did you use- self adhesive or the kind you have to run through a laminator? I’m just a bit confused on this step. Thanks!
I want to try this. It doesn’t fall apart?

Looks amazing! I’m guessing it doesnt get damaged on a rainy day .. ?
Amazing! This is such a nifty idea.
Wonderful idea! I have a pile of magazines just sitting around too
Such a great idea, I just made one myself, and it turned out fantastic!
how do the laminating sheets work? I really want to make one but can’t figure out how the second laminating sheet goes on. Also I was wondering what the dimensions of your clutch are?
Tori, the second sheet goes on the back (inside) of the clutch. The finished clutch is about 8×10 inches, but you can make it any size you want! XOXO
Q: I’m guessing it doesnt get damaged on a rainy day?
A: Nope, the laminating sheets make it water resistant. XO!
This is awesome! I’m going to do one with comic books.
