Jeremy and I had three days off in beautiful Austin, Texas this week! We spent our days exploring, snapping photos and relaxing. We're feeling so inspired by this trip. I've been filling up idea journals like crazy. I hope to meet some of you at Sucre's shows this week in Houston, Austin and Dallas (info here). Here are a few snapshots from our time in Austin…

I’ve never been to the southern end of the United States, but I’ll tell you I’m pretty tempted. Looks like you guys are having a blast! Enjoy! 🙂
I wish I could go ): but I live in Louisiana and I had to go to LSU for the literary rally (or else I would be going to tomorrow night’s show). have fun though! 🙂
I was just in Austin for the first time visiting my brother! Uncommon Objects seriously blew me away. My favorite part was all of the beautiful ephemera! And we stopped at the little Snack Bar, too, after some serious shopping. What an amazing city. Really enjoying your travel snapshots!
I love seeing my austin on your blog!!! South congress is great, but try to venture off of it your next time in town … Northloop has some great vintage stores and the east side has good bars and good people (although, all people here in austin are pretty amazing). yay! ALSO, i’m not sure if y’all are into it, but we have some great bike rental places and bike tours. It’s just one of those places that’s just better to see from a bike!
These cactus behind Jeremy are the subject of my university essay right now! Seems such a classic american city, like these in the old western films! I love the vibe of the photos!
Woo, that applemuse drink sounds tasty! Austin is such a cool and hip town that all of my friends rave about, hopefully I get to head there soon. All of your sunnies are rad!
How fun! My boyfriend went to Austin for work a few months ago and I was super jealous. I have heard Austin described as “Portland with better weather” and that sounds pretty awesome to me! I would love to go sometime soon.
Elsie, if you’re in downtown Dallas you seriously MUST go to Lula B’s East. It’s a vintage shop and the entire top level and back half of the bottom is all vintage clothes. I swear I almost died looking through them because there were so many incredible things. Unfortunately I left with relatively nothing because there was no room in my suitcase but the next time I go to Dallas Im driving just for that store alone. I remember thinking of you when I was there because their dresses were just too adorable. Anyways haha I just felt compelled to throw that out there because I know you would be in Heaven. : )

Ahhhh I’m dying to go to Austin! (And Marfa!) My dream trip. SO this is meant as a compliment but may seem weird–I always get confused and think you’re mormon since your blog is so gorgeous and everyone is young and pretty and married : ) but when you post pictures of drinks I remember you aren’t. haha. Hope you guys are having a blast on your trip–I am super amazingly jealous!
