We had a wonderful day off in Phoenix yesterday! We spent some time with our wedding photographer (turned dear friend) Sarah and her sweet husband, Josh. We spent the entire day snapping photos and sipping great coffee. Here are a few photos…
Photobooth!!!! Yay. Fabric Heaven! SAS in Phoenix is such a good fabric shop. I just hope I can fit all the pretty fabric I picked up into my suitcase…
We tried Cochata (Coffee + Horchata) and had the yummiest tacos at America's Taco Shop.
We like Arizona a lot and we'll be back sooner than later! xoxo, elsie

How I wish you could get decent tacos easily in the UK.
I love Phoenix, but when I visited it was June and so hot – too hot for this little Brit anyway. I need to go back to Arizona though, it is such a beautiful state
How I love these shots. I’ve never been to Arizona and it’s such a pleasure to see it through the creative eye of your camera!

LOVE lux coffee, looks like we were neighbors for a brief instant lol
Arizona does have some amazing places. I love doing outdoor stuff in Arizona because there is always so much to see specially when doing off-road driving. When I go off-road driving with the husband I get to see so many natural sculptures that the ordinary individual will never get to see unless they drive out there but the proper gear and vehicles are required. I cannot wait to see some more Arizona pictures in the future.

Cactus’ flowers are one of the most gorgeous experiences! They blossom once a year, for one day and if you are enough lucky to caught it, well you must consider yourself very lucky!

the pics are filled with so much love 😀
Phoenix is my hometown… I used to go to school right down the street from Lux on Central Ave. (assuming it’s still in the same place)! I miss that coffee shop. And the Willow House. And the nights where I wouldn’t have to wear a jacket.
Gorgeous pictures to go with (what looked like) a gorgeous trip!
Glad you had fun!
I grew up in phoenix and have been to SAS! So fun 🙂 Your pictures are so fun.

Yay!!! Hope you visit again:)
My home state! Great pics. Esp. love the cactus one!
Cochata?? I’ve never thought of mixing horchata and coffee (but then again, I’m not a big fan of coffee. I know, I know, blasphemy!) Lovely pictures, it looks like you’re having a great time!
Come back anytime! I love it here! So, so many wonderful places to visit and things to do!
Great photos! Love the variety of colours in each photo too 🙂
I’d kill to visit Arizona, some day hopefully. If you go to Atlanta, go to West Egg Cafe! Greatest food, cupackes, and there’s a photobooth 🙂 (Our other favorite spot is Radial Cafe near Little Five Points, yummm)
i find this so ironic! i know that sucre was in phoenix this past sunday, and today the thought that you may have been in az crossed my mind for a millisecond and i thought how cool that would be!
and then i saw this post!
too funny!! great photos. i’m in mesa (the eastern part of the phoenix metro area), but i will definitely checkout these places in phoenix! so glad you enjoyed this town!
Horchata + Coffee sounds like the most amazing combo EVER!!! Glad you’re having such a great time!
Your photography looks great as always! Hope you’re having fun.(:

America’s Taco Shop is my favorite! Glad you got to experience it.
Aww I love looking at these pictures because I recognize so many of the places having grown up in Phoenix, but I now live in WV so I am very sentimental towards anything and everything having to do with Arizona.

You visited my homeland! Your photos made me look at the valley of the sun through a different lens. Your lens was a lot more beautiful than the one I use when looking at it – and it made me miss it!
So pretty! Can I have your life?!
Xoxo
Arizona love <3 born and raised! It really is a great place, once you get over the heat that is 🙂
Definitely come back again and bring Sucre with you. The show was beautiful and it was so nice to finally meet you!
you’re pictures are always so beautiful! i don’t know how you do it but they look great 🙂
Ohhh, how fun! I feel gypped out of my Southwest experience – the one time I went there, during a spring break, it was 40 degrees and flooding! So sad…it’s nice to live vicariously through your photos, though 🙂

Cochata – what a brilliant idea! And those cacti remind me that I have two tiny succulents waiting to be planted! Lovely photos – xx
I love Arizona so much. I’m gonna move there one day!
Also an AZ native here, glad you got some great shots, there is so much beauty here! Glad you enjoyed your visit! 🙂
Oh my gosh! I live here in AZ, and I just bought a ton of craft supplies over at the SAS you were at. I’m bummed I missed you! I seriously LOVE SAS. The first time I walked in, I felt like I was in heaven! Thanks for sharing all these fun photos!

Looks like you had a blast in my hometown! You definitely visited some great places – America’s and Lux are super popular downtown haunts 🙂
Come back soon!!
Oh my goodness! I see you went to Smeeks? I absolutely love that place – I love the wide variety of old school candy they have there!
You have made my WHOLE week. I recently moved away from hearty Phoenix, decadent Lux and the car-stopping sunsets. The strip you visited is lush with eclectic-ness and second-hand spunk.
To try (between the months of November and April):
– strolling along 7th Ave, between Camelback and Indian School Roads
Thank you for the lovely photos! Oh, Phoenix!

I live in Phoenix and you hit some of my favorite spots! SAS is such a little gem and Lux is my favorite! What is the spot with the iron bed frame?
Looks like you hit all the good spots!: Lux (which is right next to Pane Bianco with yummy italian sandwiches – did you give that a try?), Smeeks, SAS, and America’s Tacos (their carne asada quesadilla is to die for)! Hopefully you got to peek into all the vintage shops next to America’s too – they go all the way up that street.
Looks like you did good in Downtown Phoenix…it took me years of living here before I finally ventured into the city and did some exploring. Now that I work downtown I get to frequent these places quite a bit – can’t believe I didn’t see you there 🙂
If you ever need some more recommendations for a trip to Phoenix let me know and I’d be happy to share!

So pretty!
Oh man. If I knew nothing of Phoenix, your blog post just made me want to get in on all that action. I’m a Phoenix native though, so . . . I think I’m biased. 🙂 I have fond memories of SAS Fabrics from when my mom used to take me – too bad I’m not more of a sewer!
