Pizza is one of our favorite go-to dinner night meals! It's simple, fast, delicious and there are so many options for toppings and flavors! We thought it would be fun to show you some of our all time favorites, just a little pizza inspiration (as if the world needed any-I mean, it's pizza!).
We use homemade naan and pita bread for an easy crust option. If you have more time, or just want to be fancy you could make your own crust too.
Our pizzas included: Pineapple pesto, with pesto sauce instead of tomato, topped with pineapple and fresh mozzarella / Pepperoni Avocado, topped with tomato sauce, shredded cheese, spicy pepperoni and thick slices of avocado / Jam and Basil pizza, topped with raspberry jam, brie cheese and fresh basil. This pizza has unexpected but delicious flavors! / Asparagus and Pesto, topped with pesto sauce instead of tomato, topped with shredded asparagus and fresh mozzarella.
BBQ pizza, with BBQ sauce instead of tomato, topped with bacon, avocado and shredded cheese / Caprese pizza, with tomato sauce, topped with fresh basil, tomato and mozzarella / Brie, Honey and Grape pizza, no sauce on this sweet treat. Drizzle with a little honey just after baking! / BLT pizza, a total classic topped with tomato sauce, bacon, tomato and shredded cheese. Sprinkle on some chopped lettuce after baking / Apple and Provolone, this one is Emma's ultimate favorite with thinly sliced sour apples and provolone cheese.

These look delicious, especially pepperoni avocado. You’re a genius! I will be trying all of these out 🙂 !
Looks so good! I will defiantly have to try some of them!

I love homemade pizza. In summertime’s we do pizza in a grill, it’s super yummy!
Here you can find my favorite pizza recipe (http://meanwhileinlongfield.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/grillipizza2/ and http://meanwhileinlongfield.wordpress.com/2011/09/16/terrorivauvaa-odotellessa/). Text is written in Finnish, so probably you don’t understand anything. 😉
By the way, thanks for this blog, i like it very much!
Amazing!! I know what I am having for dinner tonight. xx

I am from Italy, could please not call these pizzas?!
thank you
Oh my, this is amazing! Can’t wait to try these out! 🙂
http://vivikstyle.blogspot.com/
Yuummmmm, I totally use Pita as a base also. Sometimes I’ll grab the garlic naan from TJ’s and that is super good as well!
Looks very nice! My favourite topping at the moment is shredded carrot and squash, chopped garlic and onion, a bit of ginger and a squeezed lime, all mixed together in a bowl with lots of garlic, salt and pepper. Sometimes I ad some thin aubergine slices and potato as well. Yum!!
Holy shite- i’m actually just in love with you and your blog.
That. Just. Happened.

these are not only adorable, but they seriously look to die for.
yuuummm…..should try to make those 🙂

My favorite combination of pizza is goat cheese with honey, dried tomatoes and aragula after it has been cooked. It is delicious with red wine. yummy!
And yes, I agree with Francesca (even if i am not italian but french people love pizzas too) we can’t really call it “pizza” because of the naan, it should have been made with pizza dough:
http://www.annamariavolpi.com/pizza_recipe.html
Anyway, your recipe ideas looks great too!
this looks delicious! i must make my own pizzas now!
http://www.absurdlypeculiar.blogspot.com
Caprese: definitely my favorite!
I love to make mini pizza with pitta bread. It’s really easy and delicious. I love to top it with french sausage, rucola tomato sauce and old cheese. Love it!
Yum! They look delicious 🙂
How good to these look!? I’m pinning that top picture! Too beautiful not to share!
xoxo

Those pizzas look great! Yes, my favorite pizza is “Pizza Bianca”…best italian pizza in the world 🙂
Oh my goodness! These look absolutely delicious!!
I may have to run out to the supermarket and stock up on pita bread- the brie honey & grape and Asparagus & pesto are what I’m craving for right now! 🙂
Yum yum! I would have never thought of some of these combinations!
As Italian it’s very strange to me to see these “funny ways” to make pizza, here in Italy we are more “traditional” about pizza (and about food in general in my opinion). I mean, here you’ll never find a pizza with fruits or sweet flavours… but pictures above are sooo tempting! Hey, this Italian will give it a try 😀
Claudia
this is a great idea!
i make home made pizza all the time, but i love the idea of smaller ones with loads of different varieties. espcially shredded asparagus.
I love pizza with eggplant, fresh tomato, goat cheese and jamón serrano!! you have to test it!
Wow, that makes me hungry! All of them look so tasty and so beautiful. I really prefer beautiful looking food! Gotta try making some of these 🙂
I once saw an interesting fusion recipe for a sauerkraut and salami pizza, which was surprisingly tasty, but really I’m a ham and pineapple girl through and through when it comes to pizza (‘Pizza Hawaii’ as it’s called here in Germany). Since I follow a wheat free diet by necessity, I always have to make my own as I’ve yet to come across a pizza delivery place that caters to special diets. Making ‘pitta pizzas’ (with gluten free pitta breads from the health food store) is always a quick and popular option for me.
oooh, delicious!
it’s been so long since i’ve made a home-made pizza, thanks for the inspiration!
xo, cheyenne
Pizzas look delicious!
But I don’t understand this trend of drinking out of jars… What’s the idea behind it?
yum!!! 🙂

Yummy!! We make pizza all the time at our house! Tonight we are attempting our first calzone. Such great ideas and unique combos. Will definitely be trying this soon.

Hi Elsie,
I’m a girl from Italy and I really love your blog but..don’t call this pizza please!!
🙂
yum.. Hello, I’m Italian too and I think you can call pizza whatever you want .. Here you find even one with Nutella. Have you ever tried banana, brown sugar, pecan and cinnamon? .. for dessert of course ..bye
Yummy! My favourite mini pizza combination is persto + goat cheese + dried tomatoes! But only for mini pizzas, because it is quite strong…
favorite pizza: cheese with cheese stuffed crust. best thing ever.
Uoh! Unbelievable! They look all great! I would try to make them next time. I have one suggestion: Pesto, goat cheese and semi dried tomatoes (in oil).
Thanks for the ideas!
I do this! It’s so good! I’m loving some of those cominations!!!!
http://www.loganmakesamess.com/
Love the ideas! Apple and provolone is the best!
They look delicious 😉

So funny I just finished doing a homemade pizza pictorial last night – should be posting next week. But I LOVE how you used naan as your dough – yummy!! Thanks for the awesome tips.

Ooh me and my boyfriend LOVE what we call ‘Naan Bread Pizza’ at home. It’s so quick and easy to make which is great when we both work and both have ‘Hobby!Jobs’ that we’re trying to make full time, and it’s sooo delicious!
I should totally post our ‘recipe’ (if you can call it that) on my (very new!)blog. Don’t worry, I’ll link back to this post as my inspiration if that’s OK? :))
http://onetenzeroseven.com/blog
we make our own pizzas a lot. white pie with beets and goat cheese, traditional red sauce with olive with chicken and bacon, and a mexican style pie with spicy red sauce, cheddar, queso fresca, and pulled pork are some of our favorites.
homeade pizza is just about our favorite thing to make. i love experimenting with new toppings. i love the ones you chose, will def have to try some of these. my favorite so far is carmelized pear, proscuitto and goat cheese! yum!
Oh my gosh, this looks so delicious! The pinapple pesto and the BBQ, bacon, and avocado sound especially good to me!
Love the pictures, they look so exciting and fun! When I have pizza, I usually eat traditional pizza…from a restaurant. Your ideas definitely make me want to try some of my own flavor combinations, though. The pesto one looks like a winner! 🙂
This is amazing. A pizza place I go to recently had a Reuben pizza with roast beef and sauerkraut and it was delicious!
jorome, your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
this is awesome! i love that you use naan! I spent a summer in a part of China that naan was really popular in and we showed some friends how to make pizza with it-they loved it!
mmm apple and cheese i have eaten lots, but never on a pizza, great guns!!!xxxx
every time my boyfriend goes out of town i make myself a caprese pizza with pesto as a little treat 🙂 you can’t beat those classic flavors. also, my girlfriends and i get together every couple of weeks for “art club” and my friend’s boyfriend makes us experimental pizzas every time (he’s a gem)! for our last meeting we had a mexican-inspired pizza with guacamole, tomatoes and red peppers!
I like a little mozzarella, muenster cheese, sliced pear and fresh basil 🙂
They all look so good! I LOVE pizza and this just made me crave for some.
I love pepperoni with avocado it is an amazing pizza combo my family and friends thinks its gross but I love it!
Homemade pizzas are simple divine! I love them!
http://fromfreyawithlove.blogspot.com/
Yum! Great ideas and combinations! Thank you for sharing.
My husband Jake and I love making Naan pizzas! We do sundried tomato pesto, with onions, mozzarella and parmesan. We also do pesto with onions and broccolli with mozzarella and parm. both are delicious and a weekly treat for us! It’s always nice to be able to throw things together and in a few minutes have a delicious meal.
Yum! These are some fun combinations! I’m a no-tomatoes gal, so right now my favorite pizza is sort of a breakfast combination: breakfast sausage, mozarella, and an egg cracked over top. I love to put our homemade pizzas under the broiler for just a second: it makes the cheese beautiful and bubbly!
Yum! Homemade pizza is one of our favorites too…we had one with bacon and shallot this week that was delicious. I also love using bbq sauce with chicken and shallots!
oh my, pepperoni avocado? genius!
sophie
Elsie, I love this! One of my friends had a party and decided to set up a “Pizza Bar”. She laid out her handmade dough for little pizzas and had different toppings laid out for everyone to pick from, then there was a grill at the end and you grilled your handmade pizza. These are all great ideas for a Pizza Bar!
I’m simple! I prefer a regular pepperoni pizza. But your combinations do sound good.
All of these look insanely delicious! I need to eat these NOW!!! yum yum yum!!
I’m usually a pepperoni and mushroom girl, but the BLT combination sounds amazing!
Both beautiful and tasty. I know what we are having for dinner tonight.
These are brilliant!
Thanks for the inspiration.
Wow, those look amazing! I love a good veggie pizza with roasted red peppers, red onions, artichoke hearts, and kalamata olives. Pizza is one of my all time favourite foods. Thanks for sharing!
xx
http://www.thrifted.ca
These look great, and I love that using the naan makes it so easy to switch up the toppings so everyone gets to try their own, or you get to have a little bit of everything. The brie, honey, and grape pizza would be a delicious app or dessert for a girls night in.
Sorry, but the request to not call these pizzas is dumb. I think we are all smart enough to figure out that this is a pizza off-shoot.
Lovely idea! Can’t wait to try it out!
This just made me really hungry! 🙂
I think I’ll come live with y’all!
http://www.loganmakesamess.com/
Ok seriously, apart from the pineapple i’m allergic to it(the tell me that it’s in my mind but it’s not :D)maybe this is my favorite post by far, or in my favorites absolutely!
Give me tasty food and take my soul!!
(New blog needing some love: http://inwhirlofinspiration.blogspot.com
These all look delicious, but I wouldn’t call ’em pizzas. They’re fun treats that involve bread.
amazing! so beatifu and delicious!
You girls are so incredibly creative!
xoxo – http://cachecloset.blogspot.com/
That’s a lot of pizza! But pizza is so wonderful so it’s okay. I’m actually a huge fan of tuna on pizza. An English friend of my introduced me to it, and it is surprisingly delicious!
Naan as a pizza base is a smart tip!
Wouahhh, quelle bonne idée les différentes pizzas!
It’s a fabulous idea! great great love it!
My favorite veggy is sparagus. I’ve gotta try it in a pizza. What a great and fun idea to do with friends and family. It’s close to lunch time and I’m officially hungry for pizza. 🙂
hugs

A brie, honey and grape pizza? Who knew! These look amazing. I’m a big fan of this post.
Yummy! These would be so cute for a little get together with friends. My mister and I will just have to throw a party to test these babies out 😉

Those look so delicious! I think I might need to make some pizza tonight!
I have a question Elsie seeing this, you use the cooked naan, and the meteis fresh ingredients such as tomatoes, cheese, avocado, etc. .. but not once introduced into the furnace with the ingredients?
These look quite good. They are making me look forward to home cooked meals this next week more and more. :]
YUM!!!!!!!! Now I want to eat pepperoni again (after 3 years!) haha. It looks so beautiful with that avocado. This is so much fun. Happy Friday, girls!
love, polly 😀
A new combination my boyfriend recommended to me is: Bacon and banana pizza. Surprisingly it works.
OMG!! So Good looking!
Mmm, this makes me want to have a pizza party! (Reminds me of middle school when there was a cool teacher)
Delicious!

http://nikkithy.blogspot.com/2012/03/happy-friday.html
have a good weekend !
I made a version of your pineapple and pesto! Luckily I already had some Naan from Trader Joe’s (always need something to dip in my beloved hummus). All from my fridge: pineapple, pesto, Gouda, cheddar, and a dash of salt. Delish. Next time it will be the BLT. With some homemade bread via Emma’s blog. <3
My favourite pizza topping is baked butternut, caramelized onions, pumpkin seeds and goats cheese. I made this a few weeks back and I still think about it 🙂
yummmmmmmmm!
xx
http://eachpeachpear.com/
I love making my own pizza! At the moment my favourite is steamed butternut squash instead of tomato paste, with chilli pepper, asparagus and goat cheese. Yum!
xxx
I went to an amazing pizza place recently and they had these thick strips of salami that I have never had. They were incredible! They also added toasted pistachios, which was delightful!
http://www.lightingtheworldonfire.com
Definitely a new staple in my home, how easy yet quite gourmet! thanks for the ideas, have a wonderful day ♥

(my new and almost-where-I-want-it blog)
Sorry..I agree with Francesca from Italy..Just because you put some stuff on top of dough..it does not make it Pizza..
Apple and provolone? I NEED to try this. Holy god, these all look SO GOOD. I might make some into a tortilla instead which isn’t the same at all but still seems yummy to me.
All of the flavors looks great and yummy!
You know, it didn’t actually occur to me in seeing the 9 pizzas in the same picture meant that you made them all at once, but you really did make them all at once. My kind of lady.
So inspired by this!! Pizza is my favourite!
yum! You’re making me so hungry. Need to try some of these asap.
yummmmmy!!!!!
Um, yeah. I want to eat all of them. Gah.

Ooh la la! All those pizzas make me want to sing, Emma and Elsie! If I were to choose from the 9 flavors, I would go for…all of them! Haha. It is sure is a fun experience to eat 9 flavors of pizza in just one meal. And they’d looks so cute, all 9 mini pizzas packed together to bring a delight to your tastebuds!
My favorite pizza is caramelized onion and goat cheese – give it a try! These would also be really nice baked onto some puff pastry sheets.
