Do you guys wanna hear a funny story about lipstick? One day when I was shopping I overheard a very stylish older woman raving about her favorite lipstick. She said she had tried every brand but always went back to this one. It was Revlon "Love That Pink" so I took a note in my mind and went out and bought it the next day. Not gonna lie… I trust a stylish older ladies advice over someone my own age any day! So the lipstick turned out to be pretty great (I'm wearing it in the picture above). A few weeks later I went over to my grandparents house and happened to see my grandmother's lipsticks sitting out and guess what… same color… Love that pink! I felt cool.
Did I mention the weather here is amazing? It's a dream come true for us moody winter haters. Hooray!
We're happy as can be! It feels like summer and it's only March. We're having the best days running around snapping photos and making projects. Life is good. xo, elsie + emma

I’m the same way! A recommendation from a seasoned beauty vet is way better than a newbie’s! Love the colors in both of your outfits, so classically pretty!

Emma is so cute! She looks like a kid who got to pick their outfit out for school. Its miss-matched in a really fun way…”hmm, i like indians, boats and I’m kind of a tom-boy…this outfit works!”
Such a cute story! That shade of pink really is very pretty and subdued. Hooray for nice weather! You two look adorable as always.

You do realize that “Love that Pink” is going to be sold out at Walgreens + local drug stores across the nation, now? Stock up while you can! 😉

Emma, I am in love with that outfit! Dying for that sweater. My heart sunk when I scrolled down and saw “vintage” …but I kinof knew it would be. Le sigh.
my grandmother has been wearing revlon’s “cherries in the snow” since the 50s – i love stylish old ladies!
That lipstick is so pretty! I’ll definitely have to check out that color sometime soon. It looks great on you too.
Love Emma’s skirt and the lipstick. I love Revlon’s Pink in the Afternoon as well. It’s lighter than Love that Pink but still so pretty.

Q: I was wondering what the name is of Emma’s moccasins? I was trying to find them online at their website, but I’m not seeing them.
A: Not sure, she bought them at the thrift so they could be an older style. XOXO

It feels and looks like summer: what nice clothes you girls have right there!
Love that pink… okay, I jotted it down 🙂
In Athens the weather is still cold and humid (for our standards anyway). 1 day it can be spring and the sun is shining, the next it’s gloomy again… and this is Greece I’m talking about… oh well, can’t waith for spring to come too 🙂
Really loving emma’s style today! especially that skirt 🙂
Barnicles
You look amazing, and it is a beautiful shade! Not so sure about the rest of her makeup, but I was always borrowing my grandma’s lipsticks before she died!
I really like your outfits! We’re enjoying now some spring days before the rain comes back..I wish we have soon good weather to use fresh and colorful outfits.
I don’t often wear lipstick and when I do I usually get a warm subtle pink. This one looks pretty nice. We also have unseasonable weather here in my part of Canada (Just above New York state). The snow has all melted in my city because it keep raining. I’m not gonna complain…I hate winter and the weather is much warmer now.
I love that pink color it looks great on you! Emma’s hair and yours looks amazing! I love it!

That lipstick story is so fun! And the color is gorgeous and perfect for spring! I think I’ll stop to pick some up after work! 🙂
Love, love, love Emma’s outfit. The top and skirt are so perfect together. Sigh. Love the story about the lipstick, too. Older women have tried lots of colors and lots of trends – they know what works.
I love your hair!!! he outfit you put together is amazing!!
It´s really warm here today too. And really warm means 16°C. It makes me so happy.
lovely dress!
xoxo
i like that color lipstick. im BEGGING you to do some hair tutorials elsie. it always looks so pretty!!!
No way!! I bought that lipstick last week and have been wearing it practically daily ever since. I love how that shade has been around since the 1950s too.
A few weeks back I saw it on Pinterest in a image with all the lipstick shades Revlon still sells today (from the 40s to 60s). After that I’ve been on a hunt to collect each colour.
Too much fun. So glad you’re enjoying the pink too. It looks darling on you 🙂
xoxo

Also try “Love That Red” by Revlon – another classic one (I read about it somewhere, it escapes me now, but it’s a PERFECT red lip, I swear!)
I am completely dying over Emma’s shirt!! I don’t know who I love it so much. I think I might need to get that. haha
I love the color of the lipstick, and I’m not much of a lipstick person.
I agree too, about the weather. I feel so alove once the cold and snow leave!

Great story. I’ll be keeping an eye out for that lipstick as it looks fantastic.
Great outfits. I LOVE the yellow oxfords. So cheerful. The second outfit could also be styled for cooler weather with tights and blue pumps like these:

Wow! Going to completely check out that lipstick now. And Emma’s jumper is just perfect for this time of year – it reminds me of these dresses that I’ve been lusting after: http://www.feverdesigns.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=boat

Elsie! i absolutely love those yellow oxfords…i am ordering myself a pair but want to know…do they run true to size?!
Thank you 🙂
that lipstick story is so funny, I am pretty sure I would have done the same thing but my Nana would never have worn red lipstick because she thought it was too scandulous. Lol I love old ladies.
I agree about the stylish older ladies comment. I recently joined a choir where the average age is 55 (I’m 23)… and I’d listen to those ladies over most people any day.
the industrial blue is a great back drop and looks like fun place to play. and both of you look so beautiful
emma’s top is amazing!
Ahh, that’s a good omen with the lipstick for sure! hehe. Elsie I loveeeee those oxfords!!! So adorable…still searching for my perfect pair. Ah.
Emma, love the sailboats and mocs<3

That’s my go-to pink as well! A warning though–once I bought the Moondrops version of it on accident, and it’s a COMPLETELY different color!! So make sure you pick the one that’s best for you! 😛
Sister style. Like summer. I like this style. It makes us feel comfortable. The color in the eye attracts me a lot.
