Hi friends! I’m packing up for a little 2 day trip with my husband this weekend! I haven’t seen him in a month (eek!) so this is very exciting. When I pack for a weekend I like to lay out all my outfits with accessories and everything. Does anyone else do this? It seems to be the only way I can remember all the little details. I snapped some photos while packing this morning…
I feel so lucky to have found a man who enjoys vintage shopping! I made sure to book a hotel near lots of good vintage and record stores too. Here’s a little date night outfit. I made a huge list of restraunts in the area we are staying. We have way too many favorites… Indian, Thai, Sushi… It’s impossible to choose! Here’s a comfy travel outfit. I like to wear easy cotton dresses when traveling… no boots and no tight jeans! Those are my only rules. I bought Jeremy all his favorite girl scout cookies last week (awee!). Travel snacks are important. Have you tried these cucumber face wipes? Actually do I never really plan what kind of outfit I really want to wear, I only think: “Take something for every occasion and weather – you never know what happens during a trip.”. And this is why I carry so much stuff around with me, even for weekendtrips.
Maybe I should give your method a try!

I love Yes to Carrots/Cucumbers/Tomatoes. I have those cucumber wipes and they are absolutely FABULOUS! A little pricey but absolutely worth the money.
When I pack, I always list out the days and activities I’ll be attending when traveling. Then I lay out all outfits. My friends think I’m crazy for this OCD form of packing, but I rarely overpack! (Although I always do pack a few extras… Just in case!) Have a great trip!!

Absolutely love the cucumber face wipes!! I use everything from that brand — moisturizer, body wash, acne spot treatment, you name it, i’ve got it! have a wonderful trip!

Such great outfits, love all three! I always over-pack because I’m never sure what I want to wear until that day, but I’m a pro at fitting lots of stuff into small spaces because I hate having lots of luggage!
I do this too! I think laying it all out takes the guesswork out of it when you are traveling. Plus, I think it prevents overpacking! Love the outfits as usual!

The Beach Boys are one of my current absolute favorite things – I can’t get enough of them! I think that makes me like the first outfit best.
However, I’m also fond of Thin Mints and that green suitcase from the last outfit (I have one just like it!).
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who plans my travel outfits this way. Actually, I pretty much plan all of my outfits this way. These all look really cute & I hope you have a great trip!

You’re really going to wear a bulky beige sweater on date night? As much as I like all the lines in that outfit, it really doesn’t say “honey, I’ve missed you THIS WHOLE MONTH” to me… If cool weather dictates that you must wear something on your arms, how about a cute little shrug – maybe angora with embroidered pearl beads, or sequins? It’d be way more sexy/sassy, and it would take up less room in your suitcase, as well.

Great outfits. No matter where in the world we are (London, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart…) my boyfriend and I always gravitate towards sushi and Japanese restaurants. We love all different kinds of food, but Japanese seems to be our accidental go-to.
I love collecting vinyl – especially old Beatles albums. Enjoy your trip. Hopefully you’ll score some killer albums! 🙂
For short trips I plan my outfits, but for longer trips I try to pack things within a certain colour scheme so they can all be mixed and matched. My all-time favourite has to be Indian food. I love the whole Yes To range, but they recently stopped selling it in South Africa.

I always do this when packing. If i’ve never worn the outfit before or not worn it recently I put it on to check that it looks OK. I’ll put out trousers, skirts or shoes on the bed underneath and in-between two tops that I’ll wear with them.
