I am so in love with this restyled sweatshirt. When Amanda sent it my way I think I gasped aload! It's so beautiful, simple and cozy. Who doesn't want to look pretty in something so comfy! Here's how you can make your own…
Step 1. Cut the neckline off your sweatshirt for an off-the-shoulder look, then arrange the doilies along the neckline.Step 2. Pin doilies to shirt.Step 3. Using an embroidery thread or crochet thread that matches the doilies, make a couple of stitches every half inch or so. Also add a few stitches to the middle of each doily or anywhere else that may need it.
Step 4. After cutting the excess from the doilies on the neckline, pin and sew the bias tape. This will prevent the doilies from unraveling.
Step 5. Add a little decorative trim if you like! Most craft stores sell pretty lace and crochet varieties.
Your sweater can be washed on gentle cycle and either hung to dry or dried with low heat. A simple and pretty way to stay warm in the upcoming winter months!
Thanks so much, Amanda, for sharing this beautiful idea! I can see a hoodie version of this project in my near future! xo. elsie

I’m not a huge fan of doilies, but this is awesome!!!
Oh, I love the doily neckline! Would be super cute on a brown sweatshirt with a tea stained doily, and some velvet ribbon. Love it!
EEP! – I am one of those ‘doily delighters’ myself… and am always looking for ways to encorporate them into my d.i.y’s – and that is another beauty example!
If you want to see how I used them to spruce up my ol’ sweater.. here’s the post:

I liked how you turned a plain and dull sweatshirt into something more creative and stylish. How much did you spend on this? My girlfriend will surely love this!
This is my favorite shirt mod ever! I pinned it for a future craft night. Hip, hip!

much better afterwards!
Your puppy seems to be have sufficient performance, explosiveness combined with stability that they are a direct effect person today if perhaps he could figure out most smallish kinks becoming a route-runner.

Does anyone know where I can find a nice, plain hoodie like this? π I haven’t been able to find any.
I’m very much inspired. Certainly going to try this, although I think I might cut out the sweatshirt from behind the doily, show off a bit of skin. Ooh how risque of me, I know!
