Caramel apples are an absolute classic snack of the autumn season! I love how you can decorate them with sprinkles, nuts, candies or just a drizzle of chocolate to go with whatever tastes you prefer. I thought it would be fun to try and make a mini version! I thought these would be a fun appetizer at a party or get together.
Mini Caramel Apples makes 2 dozen.
Needed: 1 package of caramel apple wrap, 2 Granny Smith (or other variety) apples, 1 cup melted dark chocolate, nuts or other garnishes you prefer (optional). You will also need a melon baller and toothpicks.
Use a knife to prep your caramel sheets by cutting them into small squares. Then use your melon baller to carve out small globes of apple. Gently stretch the caramel to fit over the apple balls, place on wax paper and insert a toothpick in the top. Once you have all your little apple globes covered, drizzle melted chocolate over the top of all the apples and then refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve at room temperature, if serving at a party decorate your toothpicks with cut ribbon or decorative tape.
Have fun making these mini caramel apples! Emma

It looks so delicious!
I made these for a party last fall, and the caramel kept sliding off the apple because of the moisture, so the sheets of caramel are brilliant!
Those look super yummy! And the cute flags just make them look even yummier 🙂

Thanks for this recipe! I tried to do this myself once but I couldn’t get the caramel to stick, I think the caramel apple wrap is the key!

I’m trying them after dinner tonight. But do you pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to melt the caramel? That wasn’t mentioned. I think I should.
FANTASTIC idea! These will be great for my fall party. I was thinking full caramel apples would be too big, but this is way more manageable. Thanks for sharing it!

Ooh! Those look delicious!! I want to to make these for my family soon! <3
These look great! How far in advance could I make them?
Why do they look white on the top? Isn’t the caramel supposed to cover them completely? I just want to make sure I understand as I am taking them to a party on Thursday. It almost looks like ice cream or dough.
so. You have the right to worship waayny you wish. And I have to right to ask you to realize that the religion you worship may not be the right one. If you dont wish to change, tell me and I wont bring it up again unless you are dear to me and I really would like to see you in heaven after we die. The problem is that too many religions promise that you will get to heaven if you do things their way but have nothing to back that up. Mine at least lays down ways to do it. Ignoring the sins of others if they will ignore your sins isnt a way that ANY religion promises, to my knowledge.
Very cute idea and tasty too! Do you melt the carmel or soften it in anyway?
yours look so perfect! lol i used the carmel stuff in the jars bc i didnt have carmel and nutella instead of chocolate
