This milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. Just kidding!
What's fun about this treat is you can use a store-bought pumpkin pie and it's super easy to whip up a big batch of these for friends. Or you can use a homemade pumpkin pie (maybe the left over few pieces) and enjoy this sweet and decadent dessert.
We made our own pumpkin pie (first one of the season) and my kitchen instantly smelled like autumn. I used a slightly adapted version of Paula Deen's recipe. The only changes I made were to use 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 brown sugar (instead of just 1 cup of sugar, I like the added flavor of using some brown sugar). And I used 2 eggs instead of 1 egg + 2 egg yolks (I thought this didn't seem necessary, and in my opinion the pie turned out great!).
Once you've made your pie let is cool for a few hours or overnight. To make a single milkshake blend together 1 slice of pumpkin pie, 2 cups vanilla ice cream and 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk. If you are making multiple milkshakes at once simply double or triple this recipe to suit your guest list.

Is it cazy that I want to bake a pie just for the milkshakes??!! Haha! Looks soo good
Oh no! These look dangerous! Both my husband and I love pumpkin pie, so I started growing pumpkins this year and the insane heat we had (or some kind of disease, I’m not an expert gardener) killed them off. Now I’m waiting for them to show up at the farmers’ market. This is a great idea for leftover pumpkin pie! I’ll have to try it.
YES! it’s fall, this is my first pumpkin recipe ive seen. makes me feel all warm and cozy inside! can’t wait to try it and feed my obsession xxo
This sounds very intriguing! I would love to try it. Although last time i had pumkin pie i didn’t enjoy it that much.MMaybe it will taste better in milkshake form!

This is an awsome way to anticipate fall! I just got an email from SEW DAILY, and it had a picture of your studio in it!!!! Awsome!
i lol-ed at the first line haha
and it looks really good! might have to make that
I fell in love with this idea the moment I saw it! However I didn’t have a pumpkin pie at hand, and was too lazy to bake one, so I improvised. I put French Vanilla Ice cream, milk, Pumpkin Pie filling (from the can~so un-classy, but it worked) and a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. I topped each glass with a dollop of whip cream…yummy!
mmm… that looks delicious π
oh.my! i LOVE pumpkin & become slightly obsessed with it each fall season. this is just another thing to add to my list of must-eats! yum!

We have a borderline dependence on everything pumpkin flavored!
Can’t wait to try this out! I will post pictures on my blog and link it to your site if we don’t managed to fudge up the recipe!
I tried this recipe and it was a-ma-zing! I used store bought frozen pumpkin pie and vanilla bean ice cream for mine. No need to go out and buy a milkshake anymore when I can make a great one at home! π Thanks so much for the recipe!

So funny. No, not quite the same ring to it. I wonder why? Apple pie taests so much better! Hey, I know! See if he’ll let you go with Night, night, apple dumpling. LOL Nah, probably too, too cutsie for him to let you get away with that!
looking for some odd slightly stagrne off-beat Christmas spirit check out my post on Billy Bob ThorntonAlso, you said you were afraid of Ronald McDonaldsearch on my blog for the tag toy gadget if you dare
I have made this a couple times and it was fstatanic!!! I couldn’t belive how easy it was . everyone was so impressed that I madeefbbbf it from scratch I did add a little extra cornstarch because I thought the juice make the bottom crust a little soggy for my taste. Perfect!!!
We just spend a little time at both. I think eveonrye would be a little bit disappointed if they didn’t see us (or Ethan, really). Luckily, they are both really close by. And I don’t have to cook a thing.
Oh for heaven’s sake, cnaend? That’s just yucky! Get a butternut squash, cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and roast it for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven (until the skin pulls away easily) and spend the five minutes it takes to peel it. It’s really easy, and it’s so much yummier. This will work with any sweet winter squash you don’t have to use a pumpkin. If you do use a pumpkin, don’t roast it whole cut it before you roast it, so that it fits in the pan. A pumpkin probably won’t have to roast as long, because it’s thinner. You can use powdered milk mix it in with regular milk. Use about a quarter of the sugar the Libby’s recipe calls for the squash (or pumpkin) is nearly sweet enough on its own. It’s no accident that the pilgrims were able to live on these.
I think I usually buy Dreyers and smeetioms they have it seasonally at Baskin Robbins. I’m sure Trader Joe’s will come out with an amazing pumpkin ice cream, especially since I no longer live near one. How I miss that store. I used to shop there weekly when I lived in Southern California but there are none in Florida ridiculous!
The kindness of things. I do not know what I would do, if I did not find such a theme. I can see at this moment, my future. Thank you very much reliable and results-oriented guidance
