I'm so excited to introduce the first dress from my new Autumn collection with this fun 3 Ways To Wear It post! This dress is so much fun to wear. It has a special place in my heart this season. First of all, here's a little more about the piece…
The Flower Shop Dress is inspired by the Mod 1960s. This easy to wear mini dress is made of polyester with a super low back and bell sleeves. I love the floral print and out of all the dress I designed this season, this dress could most easily pass as a real vintage dress. ♥
Katie loved this floral dress and picked it to model for this feature. In Look 1, Katie kept it simple with a felt hat (c/o American Apparel) and a pair of wooden platforms (c/o ModCloth). This styling is perfect for an Autumn picnic or an ice cream date.
In Look 2, Katie layered her patterned dress with a long woven tank top and a belt (Darlingtonia). She added color with a pair of burgandy tights and completed the look with a pair of Swedish Clogs (c/o ModCloth) and a velvet turban from Red Velvet. This was my personal favorite of the three looks because I love layering for Fall. Oh… and don't forget the red lipstick!
In Look 3, Katie added splashes of color with her accessories and warmed the look up with a pair of vintage cowboy boots. This look is perfectly casual and appropriate for almost any fun Autumn outing!

Its fantastic!!! I have only one thing to say about your last dress line, something from a customer point of view. I was quite sad that the dresses were uploaded one at a time. I was trying to buy more than one and while waiting for the next one to upload the one sitting in my cart would be sold out. :/ It made it sort of frustrating if you wanted to get two dresses. I kind of wished they would have all been there so I couldnt possibly snatched them both. Instead I lost out on a dress. :/ Hope maybe you guys could come up with a better idea this time because I’m sure I’ll want more than one again! 😉

I LOVE that dress! I think it’s the fabric, the style is unlike what I usually gravitate towards.. I was completely obsessed with blue as a little girl and the 6 year old inside of me is jumping up and down uncontrollably at the site of all the blue roses! (6 year old me also loves the late 60’s thru the 70’s.) 😉

Our interns all applied to work with us and are in the process of fulfilling a required school internship. While I’m not going to discuss their payment situations (as I wouldn’t with any of my employees!) they are absolutely *NOT* taken advantage of in any way. In fact, they often tell me that they are learning so much more than their friends who are interning at other companies. We take very good care of them.

That said, I like the idea of sharing more about our “process” and we plan to do that this month.
