It’s been a little while since I shared the contents of one of my bags (there are many… just ask my husband!) Here are my camera bag essentials 1. Canon EOS 40D I am due for an upgrade soon, but this little camera has been with me since the month before Jeremy and I met… I’ve kept it busy! 2. My bag is c/o Kelly Moore. Love it very much! 3-4. I only use two lenses Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8. I use the wide angle for fun stuff and the 50mm for all my outfit photos and D.I.Y. photos (more on that here) 5. my camera strap is a new Red Velvet product (i show more pics soon) 6.Golden Half Camera (need to finish this roll and develop!) 7. Flat shoes. Walking in heels can get old. I try to always be prepared. 8. My kitty camera 9. Tomatoes in a little bag… because snacks are good. Well, that’s what I carried with me for photo adventures today.
It’s time for girl’s weekend for me! I’m picking Holly up from the airport tonight…. SO looking forward to this. We’re having a long weekend full of crafts, food, relaxing and photos. xo. elsie

I’ve been looking for an adorable camera strap for so long. Please tell me they’ll be in the online store!
The first thing I spotted in your photo was the gold half camera! I bought one last summer and still have yet to unwrap it (oopsies!). I can’t wait to see how your pictures turn out. I’m too much of a nervous wreck to want to use it… I’m scared I’ll take a portrait photo on one half and a landscape on the other.
love the shoes
Hi Elsie, I found your blog through another blogger and I loved it! Btw, I have one question: aren’t you afraid of damaging your camera lenses just carrying them in your bag with no protection ? I was just wondering 🙂 have a nice day!
Great post – I totally love checking out what’s in everyone’s camera bag! I currently have an Ephanie Belle, but I also lust after the Kelly Moore bags! Maybe I’ll have to try a post like this one of these days. How can I have no idea what a half camera is? And why do I think I need one already? Thanks!
I need to invest in a nice camera bag to keep my poor abused camera and its equipment safe. I ponder, do you carry both a regular bag and a camera bag?
I’d combine the contents for photo adventures for ease.
Thanks for showing us inside your bag 😉
Is that a Kelly Moore bag I see? I’ve been coveting the Libby bag. 🙂 I loved your blog yesterday about taking self portraits. I’m going to have to keep your tips in mind.
My sister just wrote a great post on my blog about photography tips and tricks. I’d love to know what you think!

Love the shoes – where are they from?
I’m buying myself an SLR for my birthday this year and can’t decide what to get. I’ve always been a Nikon girl but am leaning towards Cannon. I definitely want a wide angle lens after following your blog! I love the look!
Oh my gosh this SO cute! Inspires me to do a bag contents post as well!

Flats in the bag are a must. Love that you carry tomatoes instead of something unhealthy.

Ahh I just made myself a camera bag (only for a compact) but I love having something that reflects me and is practical for things too!
Snacks are crucial for any activity.

🙂
the bag is adorable… I desperately need a “cute” camera bag. I have a heavy duty camera/laptop bag and a super heavy duty hard case for flying with everything, but a cute camera bag is now on my “must get” list!
love your posts, always so cute and informative:)
Where are those flats from?

Great post!! XOXO, http://www.NatalyasCloset.com
I love this post, I am just getting really into photography so it’s fabulous to see what other people are carrying around 🙂 I definitely need a camera bag though, I don’t think my camera appreciate being thrown in my handbag with my lipsticks, eyeliner, sunglasses etc!! x
that’s my next D.I.Y…. a camera strap! i just purchased my first dslr… and i want to get the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8! i also want a camera bag, but the one i wanted was out of stock… so i made a quick padding for my camera in an old purse that i never use… =) (http://jeanyous.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-new-friend-needed-home.html). love it elsie! you are so inspiring & cute!

Ohhh Elsie, I do love your camera bag.
Cute cameras!
Elsie, i`m from Brazil and i just discovered your blog last month. I love it so much! I had read it since the begining until today (like it was a book).
Sorry if my english is not good… i just want you to know that in São Paulo – Brazil there is a girl who is very inspired by you!
At some point of the blog you told you use to run every morning. I startet to run last summer and i`m very intusistc about it. Can you blog about your experience? I know this is not a blog about sports but i think this could be fun 🙂

P.S- I own a prety little store of dresses and hand made things in São Paulo… easy to empathize with you!
What an adorable post! I love that bag and the fact that you tote those cute heels around with you. Lovely blog!

I love your shoes! Where did you get them?
Q: I’ve been looking for an adorable camera strap for so long. Please tell me they’ll be in the online store!
A: Hi Logan, yes they will be. We’re having them produced right now. We will have two styles in the shop for Fall.
Q: aren’t you afraid of damaging your camera lenses just carrying them in your bag with no protection ?
A: I didn’t get a photo of the inside of my bag, but there are lots of padded compartments, so it’s very safe to carry the lenses. I don’t worry about them at all. 🙂
Q: Do you carry both a regular bag and a camera bag?
A: Hi Van! Yes, I carry a purse and a camera bag.
Q: Love the shoes – where are they from?
A: Urban Outfitters (on sale… yay!)
Q: At some point of the blog you told you use to run every morning. I startet to run last summer and i`m very intusistc about it. Can you blog about your experience?
A: Hi Livia, I wish I was running every morning. I need to get into that habit. I probably won’t be blogging about fitness in the near future, but thanks for being interested. So sweet of you!
Have a good day, everyone! XO, els
Hi, Elsie!
I’ve been looking at both the F1.8 50 mm lens that you have, and the F1.4 for a while. I’m leaning toward the F1.8 primarily because of the price, but I’ve read some reviews that it’s not very well made. Would you recommend it? Thanks for your help!
AM
Same, same here, I always carry flats with me, like you said, heels can not only get old but freak’n hurt. I would say only upgrade if your camera isn’t given you want you want, I upgraded to a D3 but then downgraded to a newer camera with more functions. 50mm & 60mm are excellent for portraits, but I am itching to get my 100mm macro…. Love your back, I have a Nikon bag which I love, so I end up carrying a handbag and my camera bag, not very fem but… oh well.
So cute! What chic dress and camera bag!!

I have the same Kelly Moore bag in teal, love it. I also have a Posey but it is pretty small. holds lenses OK but not the camera body (canon 7d)
What a cute dress 🙂

Ha ha! I’m so gald you’ve revealed that you don’t live exclusively in vertiginous high heels! I am in such awe of your amazing shoe collection, but I always wonder how you don’t fall over all the time…now we know! I’m clumsy as hell, and I live in a town with a lot of old cobbled streets, and hills…not very conducive to platfrom-wearing!
Jeffrey Campbell Delilah Tan Leather…
end of story!
Thanks for the great info! I want the shoes!
Love the golden half! I just finished up a roll: http://cieradesign.com/tag/golden-half/
That is one awesome fun bag! I dream of owning a Kelly M. but right now its not in the picture. Super Crunch budgeting but LOVE having a peek in your bag 🙂
I love your camera bag. I will definitely be checking out Kelly Moore’s products.
So beautiful!!

Fabulous! I would like to know where did you get the camera STRAP? Love it! It looks so durable…
That dress is ADORABLE! Where did youbget it?
Nvm…. I just explored your blog a bit and see where you got it! Super cute blog!
I love coming into Red Velvet! I can’t sing it’s praises enough! You all have done SUCH a fabulous job creating an inspiring shop! I just bought the bag from Kelly Moore and I’m trying to patiently wait for it 😉
Nice post! I am always curious how others carry around their camera. I wish I’d dare to put my camera in a normal bag (I always have it in a camera bag), it would make things easier. Doesn’t your camera gets easily damaged? Or do you have some sort of sleeve around it?

NEW OUTFIT POST: A Touch Of Pink
You have such a cool camera bag!!! I want too!
Those flats are lovely and nice outfit too!
I can’t wait for the camera strap! I finally got a new camera and lens (hooray!!) and I hate the strap I am using! Beautiful cameras need beautiful straps, and I love yours!
I loved seeing inside your bag! I use a mustard yellow colored bag from JoTotes. LOVE it, and I love yours too! I may need to invest in another one though… Having TWO cameras and lots of little lenses just don’t fit anymore! (:
xo, ali
Whoa! You totally just educated me on the lens info..gonna go check out your other camera posts now! Thanks!
I suggest everyone should visit it…..
I have the same Kelly Moore bag in teal, love it. I also have a Posey but it is pretty small. holds lenses OK but not the camera body (canon 7d)
What are the guidelines for camera bags in the carry-on on a trip?
