Flower Girl Leaves by Janae and Kendra

Yes, today is THE DAY. In a few short hours Jeremy and I will be walking down the isle and saying our "I dos." Crazy, right? I really cannot even begin to express how excited and happy I am!

I wanted to share this sweet tutorial by Janae and Kendra as it is oh-so-wedding appropriate. Enjoy!

Hello A Beautiful Mess readers!

I am so very happy for Elsie and her upcoming wedding. I have no doubt that her wedding will be beyond gorgeous! I wish Jeremy and her the best!

My friend, Kendra and I were talking about DIY ideas for weddings. One thing that we came up with was a different twist to the traditional flower girl petals. We spent some time sewing up these sweet little leaves using vintage fabric. You can make a ton of these if you have multiple people. They each take just a few minutes!

Supplies: fabric or felt, needle & thread, sewing machine (optional)

1. Cut your leaves in various sizes.

2. Sew two sides together. Have fun and layer lots of fabrics!

3. Embellish with embroidery thread. We placed stuffing in a few leaves just to create some dimension.

The good thing about this project is that your sweet flower girl will have a cute and crafty souvenir to take from your wedding. As soon as I handed some leaves to my daughter, Hazel, she stuffed one in her pocket. I think she liked them.

They will add a beautiful pop of color to any aisle!
