Super cute!
And I love the Instax photo display. I’m having a hard time figuring out what to do with all my little Instax photos! Right now the vast majority are in a box.
Maybe you could post a few Instax display ideas sometime? 😉
So cute! Adorable outfit and I love your hair! All of the little deer and owls are so sweet.
Those wedges are the best!
Nice displays, cute owls1
Elise you are totally beautiful!
Cute shoes and the paints simply make me smile! :>
I adore the shoes, and the POP from the green tights is just too.darn.FUN. Your shop is lovely 🙂
Oh I love the ‘owls and fawns’ theme you have going on there! Simply perfect for a kitschy Springtime feel.
My favorite part is the suitcase with photos attached. I think if I were to adopt a new obsession it would be vintage suitcases…to begin with. Beautifully done.

How I would love to have a picnic in the middle of your shop with enameled daisies and peanut butter and banana sandwiches wrapped in doily covered wax paper, taking polaroids of every brilliant, inspiring corner my eyes could see….XX

Ah yes, spring is in the air. Love the outfit and display, very refreshing. BTW Your owl collection melts my heart!

OOH I LOVE LOVE LOVE that top on your display, the blue floral one with the blue ric rac trim. Is it for sale, what size, how much and do you send to Australia. I SERIOUSLY love it!!!!
xx Janelle
I adore this. 🙂
I’m so glad you’re not so busy with the website so I can start seeing your cutie-cute outfits again!
Also, Elsie, I’m just curious: Red Velvet is constantly changing to fit your dream and I couldn’t be more excited, as a girl with a serious vintage clothing addiction! But I do so miss your DIYs! I know you’ve been super busy with new stuff lately, but do you ever think of getting other people to post on your blog? I really miss the fun projects here. 12 of tricks & treats was soooooooo much fun.
I wish I had the guts to dress like you do.
My family freak out if I wear a dress, or show some cleavage (and being in 3rd trimester pregnancy I have a kickass cleavage)
When you’ve got a 12 year old boy saying he’s rather die than be seen with you, its out with the old boring black top and black pants.
Any suggestions for adding some excitement to a VERY boring wardrobe… for when I’m not pregnant would be better too.
Love the outfit, and am sitting on the fence regarding the green tights, but am willing to go with the collective and say “COOL”
LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog / website.
Thanks, everyone!
Janelle.. I will try to photograph that dress for the site sometime this season. It’s a small or maybe XS. I’m not sure b.c I’ve never tried it on.
Samantha, I don’t do much in the way of DIYs anymore because I am doing Project ReStyle now! I’ll still post one occasionally though. 🙂 And thank you about tricks and treats…. I love having guests.
XO.
Those tights are soooo wicked awesome! It makes your legs look like an awesome green alien from the original Star Trek<-----oh no....NERD alert :). Anywhoooo...I want a pair of your glasses in the dish...the super round ones are AmAzInG! Hearts, Janna Lynn
so jealous!!! i want those shoes… um, can i borrow?! 😉
Christy,
You’re so sweet, first of all! My best advise is to start working in accessories and a few fun pieces and slowly build a style that’s ‘you’, one piece at a time! Oh.. and read Rachel’s blog http://racheldenbow.blogspot.com/ she has the best mama blog out there, especially for vintage lovers!! XO
Adorable outfit (love the vintage shirt and skirt) AND store staging. This is a serious reminder for me to a) Dress cuter every damn day. b) Get to work staging my antique store booth to the max with my own personality.

You inspire me so so much !! I have been in absolute awe at all the things you have managed to do and how great everything looks. How do you do so much in such a small amount of time?
Love this outfit. Sometimes I feel a bit lazy and opt for jeans and a Tshirt. but everytime you post about your outfit I suddenly get the mojo to put on a floral pair of tights and a cute vintage-inspired outfit.
You have such a great affect on people..I hope you know that! 🙂

Elsie — Where did you get the extra large water color paint set? Is it new or “used?” My mom found the most amazing used set that is same size except it’s in an “Alice in Wonderland” tin… I’m on the hunt for another.
Thanks!
Katie

I fell in love with your blog and what you do with the first sight 😉 and true love never dies 😉
katie, it’s just a regular sized paint set from hobby lobby.
beatrice, i’ll absolutely do a post like that sometime soon! 🙂
thanks!
Really it is very useful post and I like to read these type of posts and thanks for sharing such type of posts please keep it sharing.
How do you get away with wearing a below-the-knee skirt so easily and looking so great? lol I’ve recently been thinking that I need to have all my dresses that fall below the knee altered to hit just above; I feel like I look too matronly! But you don’t at all. Maybe I need shoes with a big, chunky heel to offset?
What a nice shop!
That’s my dream, to own a shop like that one day one too!!
I was searching a blog lik this and i think my search ends up here.Very classy collection.
