Hello friends! I hope you had the best week celebrating with family. We’re so excited because we are getting prepped for an eight-course dinner (fancy potluck—LOL) on New Year’s Eve. Staying home on New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite things we do—it’s one of two nights of the year (the other is Valentine’s Day) when I refuse to go out. And honestly, I will take any excuse to throw one more party before I have to take all our holiday decor down … boo!
Here are 10 things I love!
1. I made SO many sugar cookies this year and all I want to do is make more. Always planning my next batch. Thinking of learning more baking (cakes? truffles? pies?) in 2019 … suggestions?
2. Currently watching Schitt’s Creek and it’s soooo funny.
3. Obsessed with making new year’s goals right now! Are you thinking of yours?
4. So excited to hear Golden Hour is nominated for album of the year!
5. Rainbow hoop earrings. Perfect.
6. Obsessed with these boots.
7. Cute little bag.
8. Love these!
9. The cutest coffee maker.
10. Love these little stacking rings.
Sending love and lots of good energy for the new year to you! xx – Elsie

Happy New Year to you and your growing family!
Thanks for having such a fun and varied website-it is the sunshine of my day!!!
Glad you are enjoying Schitt’s Creek! Part of it is filmed here in our little Ontario town of Goodwood and we welcome the film crews with open arms as they are sooo polite and friendly and turn us into Hollywood North if only for two weeks. Re cooking I made bread in my crockpot and it was wonderful- so glad as I had never made bread before-so I highly recommend this to try. CHEERS!
Cookies the kiddy favorites. Thanks for the brilliant idea
We always stay home for NYE too and I look forward to it every year 🙂 I love those earrings! So pretty!
I bought Rosanna Panasino’s new cookbook called Baking Year Round and it is so fun! I’ve made two recipes from it already and can’t wait to make more! Highly recommend if you want to do more baking. Your cookies have inspired me. Do you recommend the class or do you think youtube videos are fine to learn?
I love those mini sugar cookies! What is the frosting made from?

Your cookies are SO cute!!! If those are the ones that you actually made… and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that coffee machine! Who knew they could come so cute! I am especially in love with it in the pastel green color! Too bad Christmas is over. 😛
I hope you have a very happy new year!!!

I highly recommend checking out the brown butter sheet cake recipes on Cozy Kitchen. This one is a sheet cake with chai cookies on top! I made it this weekend, and it was crazy good. https://www.acozykitchen.com/brown-butter-pecan-sheet-cake/#comment-814268
These are also our favorites!!
best regards, Ann
