The day before our store opening (Thursday) we hosted a sweet little 'soft opening' party for our family. We did our official ribbon cutting with them, since they weren't able to attend last time. It was super special and low key. We got to hear all of their adorable feedback and feel really supported!
Here's my grandpa. Pretty adorable, right?
So happy all of my grandparents were able to attend.
It was really magical. I am so thankful for my family and how they've believed in my dreams all of these years!
Here we are enjoying our very first bubble tea! it's my favorite thing on Emma's sweet shoppe menu (tie with the salted caramel cupcakes….). I can't tell you how proud I am of Emma in her new adventure. She's magical!
I have tons of blogging/photo sharing to catch up on this week! It's going to be so much fun. Thanks for sharing my joys. XO! elsie

Congratulations on opening your new shop Elsie, I’ve so loved following the progress of it on your blog. It’s wonderful that you’ve had this dream and have been able to make it a reality, I’m so impressed and really admire that. How great are your family too! Lovely to see.
Love Heather xxxxxxx
ahhh! i LOVE your red dress and hair! sooo pretty! CONGRATS!!!
Congratulations! Best of luck with this awesome new endeavor!
I was just wondering something on the business side of things. I, for one, would tear like a whirlwind through the store and buy up lots of things. What do you plan on doing once your vintage stock dwindles? Is it something you’ll always be replenishing? If so, how? I know that my etsy story, for instance, is pretty much bolstered by thrift stores and flea markets, but it seems hard to do that with such a large store!
It’s so fun watching your dreams unfold on the business side I can’t help but be curious about the plan π
It’s so lovely all of your close family are involved!
I imagine it makes it all that more special!
It’s lovely your parents and grandparents are able to witness this
You’re living your dream hun
Congratulations and so much love sending your way

A HUGE Congrats to all of you on making this beautiful, creative dream a reality! I am SO looking forward to visiting Springfield next year and shopping at Red Velvet (and eating some of Emma’s delicious-looking cupcakes AND trying my first-ever bubble tea!)! I like reading about how you followed your dream & started this shop. If you ever go on the web with your stuff I would love to browse & buy.
The beautiful star tiara you are wearing… you did a post about the artist who makes them. I wanted to tag that artist in one of my posts because it was an inspiration for a craft project.
