I just got home from scottsdale – so much fun! you are super close to — mcdowell mountain regional park — just outside of scottsdale – and it has the most beautiful landscape of saguaro cactus (thousands of them) and all of the desert cactus are in bloom… well worth the quick drive down the road for great photos! oh! and the fountain in fountain hills (next door to scottsdale) was the largest in the world for years! it goes off at the top of the hour for 15 minutes and is amazing!!!

Ah! How fun!!! If you have time while you’re here, you should definitely check out The Welcome Diner near downtown Phx, this little comfort food gem definitely seems like something you might appreciate! Also, since it’s warming up best icecream in Phx is Churn, hands down

Since you all are in Old Town (right down the street from me!) I recommend checking out Hula’s Modern Tiki. The chicken jerk plate and Mongolian skewers are to die for! Also, for some southwest vibes, the Rusty Spur is a fun little bar just down from there with live music 🙂
