  • I *love* the floral dr. martens! Usually I’m not a huge fan of shoes at all, but these ones stole my heart! ouch, it hurts. πŸ™‚

Your simpson t-shirt is so cute! I myself have a Simpson towel! …Since I was really really little. Since I was born, to be exact. And I love it! It’s so sweet. (and reallyyyyyy high quality, now that I think of it… :))

  • Dog in hotdog bun! Cutest thing ever! I have a black mini doxie!! Best dogs ever!!

  • ah, richard avedon. i always think of ‘funny face’ when i think of him.

melmac = fun dishes, but the name still brings “ALF” to the front of my brain before the thought of dishware. :p

mint julep – if kevin shields were a girl?? hmm. new to my ears. i’ll give it some more listening.

  • When someone tells me they “sorta have a HUGE announcement coming up late tonight… ” I instantly think babies!

  • I saw that you collected blythe dolls and I recently discovered that they have released a Blythe/littlest pet shop toy. There are four styles available. As a collector I’d get them while you can!

  • like Andrea T, I am thinking babies. Everybody on the blogosphere seems to be preagnant these days. πŸ™‚

  • Haha! Not pregnant. That makes me smile, though! πŸ™‚

Laura, I already snagged the ‘vintage’ LPS Blythe for h
jeremy’s niece! They’re tiny & so afforable. Perfect for kiddos!

  • I used to do all those up dos like Bridget is wearing and they needed a hairpiece called a “wiglet” to add height and volume. Very glamorous huh? As a make-up artist also, I did and wore that kind of make-up. It made everyone look glamorous. If you ever need an up-do….. Let me know. πŸ™‚

  • I was so disappointed to see the picture of you wearing the rosary as a necklace. In your reply to nlin you asked her to respect the standards of your blog.

    RESPECT IS INDEED THE ISSUE,

not only for your personal blog, but for the worldwide group of people who use the rosary in prayer.

The rosary is about prayer; not wardrobe choice, a style statement, sentiment or it’s objective beauty. Rosaries weren’t created to be a worn as a necklace.

Rosaries were reverently created as a spiritual response to encountering the holy in daily life through prayer. They hold value because of their purpose. To reduce their function to that of an ordinary fashion accessory seems disrespectful.

    Please reconsider, Elsie.

  • homegirls freaking out about the rosary should just go read other, non-offensive blogs πŸ™‚

i’m loving the hot dog! so cute…and bridget bardot’s hair = GORGEOUS!

  • the hot dog is just <3<3<3~ so adorable!

i also just love your iphone case (in your picture above :P) did you make it??

  • Oh my gosh! I absolutely adore the photo of the doggie in a hot dog bun!!! I’m also gonna have to check out the site for the dishware. Thanks for sharing!!

  • i would smile too if you said you were pregnant, the baby would be incredibly cute! but i liked the news you shared anyway. πŸ™‚

  • i love this post!
and i’m going to sponsor your blog for my greeting cards!!! i just wanna wait till thursday for payday but count me in!

  • Years ago my grandmother worked at the Melmac factory, which i think is so incredibly awesome! My boyfriend and I went into a furniture store that was (unfortunately) closing its doors after 30 years of business, and we snagged a huge paper bag FULL of Melmac for a really incredible price. It was weird/exciting to handle bowls that my grandmother could have possibly (it’s a stretch) handled herself.

  • Elsie, I have emailed the address for the advertising with questions twice. I have not heard anything back, I am sure there is a back log, and lots of people want spots. Just concerned this is the second time you have had a special or something and I have gotten no email response.

  • I check your blog all the time and have never commented. I just wanted to say you are such an inspiration and I have the exact same favorite shirt, the bart simpson one. Unfortunately last week I dyed it pink by accident in the laundry. Anyway, keep crafting, it is totally awesome!

    Love Anna
