For the past two weeks i've been all over the place. It's been a non-stop road trip. First, we went to Texas for the cutest wedding ever then we came home, bought the new store 'officially' and the next morning i left for California all by myself. Emma and I went from LA to San Francisco and back again and then drove all the way home together with all her belongings and her pug, LoveLove. I have to admit, I'm SO happy to be home! Springfield has never felt so good. Here are some photos from the long drive home…
alright, this is actually from the drive to Texas… what kind of food do you think they serve here? I'm a little sad i didn't get to find out. Pretty amazing branding they have!
My beautiful traveling buddies, Emma and LoveLove.
Driving through the desert I listened to a lot of Queen, Patsy Cline, Panda Bear, Of Montreal and Daniel Johnston & my ultra-guilty-pleasure… Justin Timberlake. Oh my!
Lovers was so fun to travel with. He was really good and pretty much scared of everything except Emma. He stayed in a motel with us too, it was fun!
Rain…
A rainbow in Texas!
And a little stop at 3 am. We finally arrived home around 4 last night (YAY! We did it!) and hit the ground running today with a full day of treasure hunting and training, but more about that soon…..
Night-Night, elsie

Oh, I LOVE that sign! I wish there were more like it.
Was the picture of the Pig Out Palace taken in Oklahoma? If so, I’ve eaten there! They have a buffet (of course) and great food off the menu. It’s regular southern cuisine – chicken fried steak, fried chicken, mashed potatoes – you know, regular ol’ southern food. They also serve a pretty good breakfast. *small world*
of montreal is pure genius. π
Welcome home! I’ve been away too, so all of my comments are days late… haha. Traveling is fun, but it’s always great to get home and back into the swing of things! π
Glad that you had a safe trip back home!! Looks like it was a ton of fun!
Home sweet home, Elsie! I’m so thankful that you girls had a very safe trip way back home. And wherever you go, whatever you do, you will always go back to where you really belong. That is your HOME!
I love your pictures! I get motion sick in planes, trains and every other type of transportation except cars. As a result, I love road trips! I’m glad to hear that your trip was safe and that you didn’t need the help of a personal injury lawyer or mechanic or anything. (I needed both on one trip–what a wild adventure!) Thanks for sharing!
