little things…

today mr. larson and i are scheduled to be treasure hunting all day (vintage and otherwise). i'm excited & it was his idea. hooray for boyfriends who love vintage!

Vintage flower suitcaseand i officially look like my brother today…

I look like my brother in this one(How's that for random?) i'm excited because i have a brand new 'blogging schedule' to start this week! i won't ruin all the surprises, but it includes a DIY and a DIY jr. (a one hour project!), a studio peek day and a few other crafty-vintage-art-fashion-photography related surprises (oh… and all the regular stuff too, don't worry)! I'm really thankful for all of you who stop by and say hello (we've been getting 15,000+ views per day lately!) i want to keep working hard to make this blog a place of visual inspiration and encouragement for aspiring artists.

love you so, Elsie

  • Elsie, I have to say that I have not knitted since I was a little girl and your crochet hat diy from a short while ago totally got me knitting again! Thanks so much for the awesome inspiration…it’s totally re-awakened my creative spirit!!

  • You always inspire me so much and i always look forward to new posts. 🙂

  • oh wow! thats alot of views!!! well i’m sooo excited to see whats next. its seriously one of the things i look forward to everyday. and i definately find your blog very inspiring.

  • Dear Elsie,

I started following your blog when I was in the bottom of a creative ditch while at art school. I just wanted to thank you for being such an inspirational boost everyday. You introduced me to the concept of color therapy and seeing the “cute” in the mundane world. I’m a peer mentor at my university and have referenced your blog to many a student who needed to smile.
Keeping making the world so cute!

    Love from Philly,

Did you ever get my Xmas card? xXx

  • Hello!

Usually I never comment, but I’m Dutch and my English is very bad. But I need to tell you that you are amazing. You’re exactly who I want to be when I’m older. (I’m 14.) You give me lots of inspiration. Keep doing this!

  • Soooo exciting!

Will you be apart of the Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair? I am planning to go with some friends, and it would be awesome if you were there!

  • Elsie, just want to pop in a say guten tag. I love your blog, I look forward to it everyday. Your really inspiring. And i cant wait until the awsome changes! keep on crafting. xoxo Britt

  • For Diana tips, I suggest for your first day playing with it on a very sunny day. Low light pictures are usually easier once you’ve gotten used to it.

Diana cameras can be very expensive. Because you get very excited for all the picture options, but in order to get these pictures it is necessary to buy a whole bunch of attachments plus always buying film it can really add up.

    I hope this helps!
