I had white boot skates with rainbows on the side. Mum got them for me after I saw Xanadu. I used to skate down the driveway with leg warmers on, wearing a full skirt…..just like Olivia Newton-John. Thank you for the memory.

OMG!!! Totally telling my age right now…but I so had those roller skates! I dreamed of them for months and got them for Christmas! That was during the mid-70s when I went through my red, white and blue stage.

You’ve inspired me to go thrift shopping this weekend. I could use a cool new-to-me sofa. π
I used to live in Springfield a few years ago, and the thrift stores there are some of my best memories. It seemed I could always find treasures. I still have an orange phone I found downtown at a antique store by the “Mudhouse.” I don’t even know if the mudhouse is still there.
love the dress!
Oh my goodness…. I have been looking for a couch like that gold one! I have a chair to match that my parents bought when they first got married in 1973!! Is that store located in Springfield? If so I might have to make a road trip! It is calling my name.
I guess I will have to wait until all this snow passes in KC before I can get it though!!:)
Would you mind if I use that picture on my blog? I will of course link you to it! Thanks Elsie!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the curtains with the orange couch! Want them!
xo
oh your dress is so pretty !
Potentially random question, but what kind of shoes do you wear when you wear your dresses & tights combo (which I love btw)?
And I love those roller skates! I had some of them when I was that size but fell over so often they went straight out with the next car boot we ran!
Oh roller skates!! Mine were blue with white and red stripes. And those were NEW when I was her age!
Hi, I’m Leah. Good thing I’m a night owl, I wouldn’t have caught this. Congrats on one year! My favorite cupcakes are these bad boys
today was a good one!
This has been very helpful understanding a lot of things. I’m sure a lot of other people will agree with me.
