All you longtime blog readers know that Elsie and I have always been big fans of Minnetonka moccasins! When we were little, our mom and both of us all had matching pairs (see here). So when Minnetonka asked if we wanted to pick out the colors for two limited edition Thunderbird moccasins to celebrate the shoe's 60th anniversary(!!!), we just couldn't resist! I love Minnetonka moccasins, they’re amazing (fyi I have tons of MN pride). I’m actually due for a new pair, my current ones are worn out from wearing them in the rain too much and stretching them out.

Do you remember bronzed baby shoes? My grandfather had a shoe store for many years and my shoes were very important to him. He refused to let them bronze a pair of my baby shoes, too mundane, so he had a tiny pair of my Minnetonkas bronzed. I’ve still got them sitting on a bookshelf to honor him, and I still wear Minnetonkas to honor the good taste he gave me! Those turquoise-y blue ones are amazing and I’d love to have a pair. Got my fingers crossed! Lou.
