Many of you have asked how we're coping with my upcoming move. I'm not going to lieโwe're up and down. On one hand, it's easier for us than most sisters/business partners because we travel together for work quite a bit. And we're planning to travel even more in 2016 for various projects we're involved with. So we're not so much scared of missing each other as we are just afraid of the unknown. And yes, we're nervous. We've never worked remotely for a long period of time, so we're about to enter new territory!
Optimism is a driving force in our company. It always has been, and I will credit a lot of our successes to it. It's a daily choice whether to look at the positive or negative and whether to be driven by fear or excited by possibilities.
Elsie's wearing: T-shirt/5 Pound Apparel, Skirt/Chicwish, Sandals c/o Modcloth, Sunnies/Wildfox.
Emma's wearing: Dress/UO, Shoes/ASOS, Jacket/Express (couple seasons ago).
To sum it up, we're feeling all the feelings. Scared. Excited. Bummed. Hopeful. Determined. All of it. It's going to be a good season, and I'm sure we're going to learn a lot! xx. Elsie

I just found your blog and started reading a few entries. I can’t seem to find where you are moving to? Personally, I find moving to be exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. Its so fun to experience something new but it takes a toll on you as well. Love both of your outfits, by the way!

Hi Samantha! Elsie and Laura are moving to Nashville (http://abeautifulmess.com/2015/05/big-news-nobodys-pregnant-.html) Thanks for reading! ๐ -Jacki
Elsie, you rock that tied-back tee look a lot, and it’s awesome. How do you do it? Just tie a knot in the back? I’m worried it’ll stretch out my favorite tees…
They’re moving to Nashville, Tennessee!
My sister and I live 853 miles apart but we text, send pictures and talk throughout the day so she might as well be next door AND we know each other’s cities now so well that we get to go to all our favorite places when we are together- it makes for awesome fun visits. You will have so much fun visiting and will end up closer than ever- these fellow far away sisters promise!
It’s definitely normal to experience an amalgam of emotions. I hope you all have more peace as the time winds down and you’re finally settled in your new city.
Happy Tuesday

I’m part of sister-team who works remotely… it’s definitely tough but we have figured it out through lots of texts throughout the day, dropbox/icloud/google drive, and of course visits! The hardest part is not just working straight through visits, but having fun too! Good luck!!

Love the green skirt. http://www.hannamarielei.com
I know how you feel. My sister moved out to another city last year, and we were so worried about how things were going to be. But I think this fact made us grow individually and as sisters too.
I’m sure everything is going to be all right with you guys. You’ll just love each other more and more as sisters, and your partnership will become more mature.
Life is nothing but a great adventure, right?
P.S. I LOVED this skirt!

This is such a sweet post. The unknown is always a little scary and a little exciting. I’m sure you’ll both conquer whatever comes your way!

Moving away is very difficult, but it can put into perspective just how much you miss & care for a person. It can definitely help the heart grow fonder. You both look lovely. I still love the tied tee with a maxi skirt. So cute. :]

I’m loving that long, green skirt!
such cute outfits!!
don’t know if the font changed just for me in the past few days, but it is really hard to read – too small and too thin, in my opinion. still cute, just very hard to read in my opinion. ๐
thanks for all the cute posts!
These are fun outfits. Good luck with the move. Nothing worse than moving…although arriving and finally getting the unpacking all day is very liberating!

I had a skirt very similar to Elsie’s for a long time. It was a great skirt! I’m so excited to see what this new season brings for both of you!
Hi Bianca! This should help ๐ http://abeautifulmess.com/2015/04/elsies-one-and-only-hair-product-.html -Jacki
Such beautiful gals! Loving those shades honey! ๐
Nashville is so ready for you guys!! I’ve heard countless stories of how happy people are after moving here, you guys are going to love it. Our art scene is EXPLODING, and you and Jeremy will have the opportunity to experience the Nashville Art Crawl on the first Saturday of every month! The city comes alive with magic, it’s absolutely beautiful ๐ See you on Broadway!
Yeah I bet – I would be feeling all the feelings too if I was either of you. I’m sure you both will get through it and your positive vibes will ensure that! Definitely wish you both the best!

Love how you chose a bright background – the color of that dress is to die for. Moving is a really big step, and it’s always a little scary at first, but I hope you’ll have tons of fun in the end!

As a woman much more your senior, I will say that living and looking at life through a lens of fear and doubt leads us to only one place – stuck! You are both very courageous for taking this leap of faith and are a huge inspiration to many others looking to start a new life chapter! Much love to you both!
Gosh Elsie, I seriously love everything about your hair! The length, color, style… so pretty!
Elsie, you are my style icon ?!!
I admire you ladies for your bravery, perseverance and your adventuresome attitude (even when it means adventuring through the unknown). You are truly motivating and inspiring. I know you guys & ABM will prevail no matter what the future holds.
P.s. Elsie – that super long do’ you’re rockin’ these days is fabulous! ๐
