As you know by now, we are full-fledged Plant Ladies. Ain’t nothing going to stand in the way of me and my weekend plant shop run. 🙂
I am having so much fun slowly turning our home into a greenhouse. When my husband asks if we have enough plants yet, I just stare at him blankly…
OF COURSE NOT.
I love all plants, but definitely have a soft spot for cacti. Recently I started to focus more on spineless cacti so my home isn’t a death trap. It’s my favorite hobby. I even LOVE watering them now (my downfall in the past).
So, of course, when we were planning new designs for Oui Fresh, we designed a Plant Lady shirt! It comes in this green baseball tee and a white women’s fit t-shirt.

What about you, Sister?? You catching the plant bug?
I definitely have more plants in our house currently than ever before. I think you will always have me beat though, Sister, as I have a problem with occasionally killing them. Ah! It makes me so sad when one bites the dust. One of my theories is that my house is just too dark for most of the plants I love. So I’ve been focused on only buying plants that thrive in low light. But the struggle is real because most of my favorite varieties are high light thriving plant babies. About once a week I take a bunch of the plants in my living room and put them out in the driveway to get some extra sun for a day or two. That’s been helping, but it’s sort of tedious, and also I look like a crazy person.
Another random note, I thought I was going to prefer our plain white Plant Lady tee, but I’ve ended up wearing the baseball tee more. Go figure. 🙂

If anyone knits, loves cacti, but doesn’t have the right conditions for successfully growing them, I found a pretty convincing free pattern to try. Check it out: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quick–easy-cacti
What a fun shirt, I love all of the plants

Fellow plant lady here! Do you have any tips for learning to love watering your plants, because that is definitely something I struggle with. I do best with plants that can handle a little bit of neglect.
Yes! I’ve found that while most succulents die in my home (RIP all of the succulents), cacti and I get along SO WELL! And I like living with a little danger.
I love Elsie’s shirt! http://www.hannamarielei.com
Oh my god, succulents! I mean you both look gorgeous obviously, and your shirt is just so cute – But my go, that’s a succulent heaven!

I have struggled so much with getting plants to not die in my house – could you share some of your favorites that do well in shadier environments??
Thanks!

Plant lady on board – I love them both indoors & out. I’m currently grooving on Snake Plants because there’s so many interesting varieties now. They tolerate low light & don’t like too much water. Great for those of us who travel!
That dress is super flattering on Emma. Perfect length and the belt makes you look like you have the tiniest waist! Beautiful.
Elsie,
What size is your shirt? I’m not familiar with AA sizes and I’m trying to figure out what size to order. I must have that shirt!
I love plants but every few months my mum comes and takes them, revives them and gives them back to me, or i just kill them!
I love plants and have loads, I adore cacti but a friend told me some years back that they are bad feng shui and I just can’t get that out of my head!! So I’ll just perv on your plants instead ?
I love that dress, Emma! Am I to assume that it’s an older style and that’s why it’s not linked directly?
Yep! 🙂 -Jacki
Basic yet stylish. You two really pull it off!
