And of course, I love coffee shops. Bonus points for cute shops with the best colors (I’m lookin’ at you, Barista Parlor Golden Sound) and extra credit points for donuts.
Summertime sure is growing on me. Even when it’s hot as hell, I love my too-short dresses (there are shorts under there, don’t freak out!), an iced drink, and the promise of fireflies every night when it gets dark. I’ve always been an autumn person, but this year I’m branching out and learning to love all four seasons (even if I have to love winter from Palm Springs – hahaha).

I love to check out cute local coffee shops. I visited Barista Parlor when I was in Nashville a few weeks ago and loved it! It was such a unique shop! (had to talk my travel group into going…they’re not coffee enthusiasts like us…lol) Love both of your outfits, too!

Hey There!
I just want to start off by saying that I super respect everyone at ABM. In a lot of ways you’re incredibly inspiring, positive human beings, and it’s amazing that you’ve chosen to share & maintain that so consistently for so long.
But something that’s been bothering me for a while is that while you all make an effort to take care of yourselves (with natural skin care, clean-eating, etc), there seems to be little to no awareness of environmental consciousness. While it’s true you present a curated picture of your lives here on the blog, and I’m sure there are a lot of things that don’t necessarily make the cut, I can’t help but feel that your sister style feature could be enriched by some small discussion of the impact we as women (being the dominant consumers of cheap clothing) have on the environment and the world.
You obviously have the means to spend a little more on your clothing and shoes (which is awesome… I don’t want this to come off as if I’m begrudging you your success), but as a result it’s a little hard for me to scroll through these features and see that you’re consistently featuring pieces from Forever21 or H&M… cheap clothing produced in unethical ways that most often ends up in landfills. I’m not saying it should be a huge focus, but you guys have a great platform here, and it doesn’t feel off-message for you to acknowledge that our choices of where we shop & who we buy from matter.
Also, you totally don’t have to publish this, I’m not really trying to call you out in a public way, it’s just something I’ve been thinking about for a while that I wanted to share with y’all.
