We’re so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to see what our Android friends make with the app!
It was quite the process getting here, and it took much longer than the matter of weeks we initially said in the announcement post here on ABM (so so sorry!). Our first Android developer on the project took a job at Google about halfway through, and finding a replacement set us much further behind schedule than we anticipated. However, our new developer is one of the best we’ve ever worked with. While it put us behind schedule, we ended up with an even better app in the end!
And now it’s time to CELEBRATE!!! You guys have no idea how excited we are today!

P.S. There will no doubt be some technical issues that crop up for a few of you with all the devices available out there. Please reach out through our support form with any challenges you’re running into! The app is only optimized for Android phones, not tablets, and requires Android 4.1 or newer.

Downloaded the app! Its working perfectly, super easy to use, and is SO FUN to play with I feel like a kid in a candy store 🙂 my photo editing skills are pretty low tech, so I love how there are great filters to make it easy. Android loves you! 😀
I don’t think you realise how excited I am about this! I’ve been swooning over everyone’s photos for months on the hashtag, waiting for it to come out on Android! I’m literally downloading it right now! YAY!

Yay! I was so bummed when you gals first posted about the Color Story since it wasn’t available on Android….until it said the Android version was coming soon!!!! So excited! Now to get back to playing with all the amazing filters…:-D

hmm..it won’t show up in my play store either..the link does work but will not download onto my phone (s6). Super excited for this app though (once the kinks are worked out;))!

I have Android 4.2 and downloaded the app, but unfortunately it’s not working well. Keeps freezing and locking up on my phone. I can’t switch between the filters quickly and it causes my phone to lock up. Not sure if it’s a glitch in the app or if it’s my phone.

Was super exited as well as I am daily using the “A beautiful mess” app with succes and loving it. Although my mobile is running on Android version 4.2.2 the app is not working. I will keep my fingers crossed and try to be patient. Maybe the next update will help.

I have been waiting for this app for well, forever. I’m so bummed to hear it’s not available in my country yet:( Is this true for iOS too? I am currently based in South Korea.

I’ve been waiting for the Android version ever since I got a new phone, but it says it’s not available in my country! I live in the United States so I’m really not sure why it’s not available…? Was the app pulled from the Google Play store?
