I’m just going to come right out and say it, this massage oil smells like every good thing on earth and is changing my life! I’m definitely being a little dramatic, but I can’t get over how yummy and relaxing this oil smells. After I made it, I would walk by it in our bathroom and just put a little on my hands and arms to smell throughout the day. It’s that good!
So not only is this massage oil great for a back and neck rub, but it’s also VERY moisturizing and non-greasy. If your skin is feeling dry, I definitely recommend using it as an after-shower body moisturizer. You will smell incredible and feel so so soft!
Supplies:
–fractionated coconut oil
–sweet almond oil
–jojoba oil
–ylang ylang essential oil
–vanilla essential oil
–lavender essential oil
–peppermint essential oil
–tangerine essential oil
–glass container for storage
Step One: For this DIY I used a 12oz glass container, so cut the recipe as needed for your container size. Using a funnel start by adding in 1 cup of fractionated coconut oil, 1/2 cup sweet almond oil and 1/4 cup of jojoba oil to your glass container.
Step Two: Add in your essential oils! I put in 10 drops of ylang ylang, 10 drops of lavender, 5 drops of peppermint, 5 drops of vanilla and 5 drops of tangerine. Secure the top of your container and gently swirl to mix everything together.
I used a glass marker to label my massage oil, and I kinda love how it looks in this copper dispenser! This DIY takes seriously no time at all and just might be your new favorite thing ever. Anyone else love a good relaxing massage?? Get ready to smell like a mythical creature. 😉 Lots of love, Sav.

Ahh… this sounds lovely!!! My poor skin is so beat up from our long, frigid winter, I have to try this NOW!
Do you know of any reason to not use an unrefined fractionated coconut oil? I love that natural coconut fragrance, and I think it would be divine with this blend of essences.
Thanks for the great recipe!
I have a sweet almond oil reed diffuser (it’s just oil + essence) – i wonder if it can be used as a body oil instead… (the diffusing doesn’t seem to work :P)
Lovely post! I have to try it 🙂
I love the soap dispenser! What a pretty design. And I didn’t realize that glass markers were a thing! How awesome. 🙂
This sounds like heaven in a jar!
My colleagues at budgetverhuisservice.nl tried making this and they really liked it. Thankyou!
What a great gift idea for Mother’s Day. That packaging is gorgeous!
I wonder if my essential oils are different from yours because the amount of drops you added didn’t make my oil smell very much! I had to add wayyy more for that amount of carrier oil.
thank for your post, i like it
