A few reasons why:
1) It’s vintage and it looks amazing
2) Would you know how hard it is to wear pretty dresses when you are a breastfeeding mother? I feed my gorgeous baby boy every 2-3 hours, so I need to be practical in what I wear. I have some lovely dresses but I can’t just ‘lift them up’ like I would with a top (well, that could just be because of my bad taste in underwear). In all seriousness though, to find a suitable ‘breast feeding attire’ you pay so much money for something that is pretty ugly. The word maternity (similar to the word ‘wedding’) means ‘3 times more expensive and it really doesn’t have to be’.
So what I’m trying to say is, I’ve been looking for a vintage inspired dress like this, that wont compromise my ability to feed my lovely little boy!

An hour just slipped by as I drooled over the Ruche shop site, there are sooo many gorgeous little things! I LOVE the parkway pleated dress In mustard, the Kayla wedges, and the Spirited Occasion Scalloped top…if I had to choose I guess the top is my vary favorite it so delicate and looks completely comfortable too, I could pair it with so many different bottoms, and it just looks like something that whoever was wearing it would feel special!

To be honest, the portobello double breasted coat is one of the only realistically wearable coats for blistery winter weather on this website.To add to that, summery items are cheaper for both the designer and manufacturer to produce-both flimsy and conventional-the opposite of what a truly independent clothing company should appreciate. Wearing cold weather items fashionably is the most telling of a true style. So what if you can wear a pair of high waisted denim shorts, thigh highs, native american inspired jewelry and a flowery printed tank top-layerering/ mixing and matching with eclectic styles is what really shows off ones fashion sensibility. Most of the items on ruche are absolutely adorable, but the main thing that keeps me from buying them is their lack of practicality. I get it…we’re young and just want to look cute. But in the end the cute people who can afford these clothes cannot afford the irrationality. In my opinion, the person who shops at this boutique has a unique sense of style that keeps them searching at outlets other than the usual-such as american eagle, urban outfitters, and american apparel etc. That’s the point of fashion,right!? Sorry to sound like such an arrogant jerk, but passion is passion and what’s the point of posting such a remark if there is no joy de vivre!! I do truly love your clothes, I just want you to have an honest opinion, not some suck up who will rain compliments on you for their own benefit.
