Here are a few (teeny tiny) sneak peeks from the book. First of all, the dedication to our grandmother and late grandfather. We share more photos from their life together in the Introduction. Our grandfather was an avid photographer and very ahead of his time capturing hundreds of beautiful candid moments of his small children, home, travels and life. He’s our inspiration, and it was an honor to share a little piece of their story in our book.
The book is packed with tips and ideas that you can use in your everyday life. It’s not so much an instructional or technical book as it is an inspiration for trying new things! We’re so excited to see people using the challenges we shared.
The book also includes a section of DIY projects. We re-imagined some of our most popular past projects from the blog as well as shared a bunch of brand new projects, like this easy DIY business cards!

I preordered mine, but I wish I’d just bought it at the book store now, ‘cuz I can’t wait! That review made me especially excited to read it! So proud of you girls! This is just the kind of thing I need. I’ve always WANTED to be a good photographer/documenter but never had the time or equipment to experiment. I always said as a kid that I would be a photograher when I grew up, and spent my teenage years messing around with a digital camera that you actually inserted a floppy disc into to store like 20 pictures at a time. My high school never offered photography though and I spent my next four years right out of high school living in Central America as a volunteer, with practically only the bare necessities (no hot water, not always running, etc). Although I don’t regret going ONE BIT, I did find that I returned and all the girls my age had had the time to experiment and find their hobbies and likes in a way that I was too isolated to have access to, and catching up has felt daunting. But I drool over tiny details in life, imagining the photos I would take if I had the know-how, lamenting that I have no way to document the images I preserve in my head. And I feel so far behind that starting is daunting. My photos barely document, and certainly not in any kind of pretty or artistic way. I was too scared to do your challenge, even though I wanted to (maybe if I just don’t share them!). Anyways, I’m so excited to get this book and really start my journey. I have beautiful family and friends and a wonderful vegetable garden with all kinds of beautiful wildlife hanging around and live near the ocean and travel and have so many wonderful things around me just waiting to be captured. Thank you, thank you!! I can’t wait!

I preordered mine and it was such a nice surprise when I got home from work. Here I am on my couch with a cup of tea and just finished flipping through the whole thing. I especially love all of the NEW photo display ideas at the end. Loving this book, so proud of yall!

Love the book! I bought it the day it came out and read it in one sitting.
