“Sponsored” sister style. I’ve always been interested in this series but I want to see what your actual style is, not what free clothes you’ll wear. It was fun (and inspiring) to see how you both put outfits together with your own clothes especially with vintage pieces. I’m almost positive that we’ll never see these sponsored dresses again. It’s a shame what this series has become.

I picked out and love the dress you see me wearing here. I’m also carrying the same purse today and likely will be for a while now as I tend to wear my purses out before I switch (my last one, a gold one, just broke yesterday). And I’ve gotta say, because it’s true, Elsie and I really enjoy the healthy business relationship with have with ModCloth because we sincerely love shopping with them and know that our readers do as well. That’s what makes them such a great fit for ABM.
Even though I do disagree with you on this point please don’t feel discouraged from ever letting us know what you think. We LOVE hearing what any ABM reader thinks about a blog post, sponsorship, collaboration or product that we work on. It’s interesting you say that because I feel like the clothes from Mod Cloth are very consistent to their style and clothes they wear on a daily basis. They have inspired my new fashion sense and I too love the clothes at mod cloth…
I can say this because they mentioned it on their “ethical section of sponsorship” in their Blog Love e-course, that they do not sponsor with companies they feel do not represent who they are and who their readers are. I admire them even more for that. This is their business and sponsorships are just a another way to make revenue from it. A LOT of successful blogs do it… its a new business and may be hard to understand for some…but its new and legit and these girls know their -ish π
p.s. and i love them even more for allowing us readers to express our opinions and concerns.
I love this! The dress are really cute and I never thought about having the background of a photo be a reflection of something! I like that in some of the pics there really is no background but the windows you are in front of and their reflection. So neat! I’ll have to try something like that out.

I just wanted to tell you, I think that ModCloth is a perfect fit for a sponsored post on ABM. As a matter of fact, it was done so well that I didn’t even know it was a sponsored post at first and I’m not just saying that. My understanding is that ABM has always worked with ModCloth so to me it makes perfect sense.
The outfits are adorable and sweet and the pictures, as always, beautiful and amazing. I thought it was very well-done but that’s just my two cents on the situation π

True to size, for me. All the clogs are very consistent, but I’ve sometimes found the peep toe styles to be a little tight (plus, I just really like the clog styles best!). I also think the sky high & super sky high styles are the most flattering, but also the most comfortable high heels I’ve ever worn. I wear them all day at work quite a lot- so they’re very comfortable (compared to other high heels).
For your first pair you should definitely buy them from someone with a good return policy (like ModCloth) incase you need to switch sizes or styles!
